How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAmazing place, in a very beautiful location with stunning views. Belen and her partner are wonderful, warm hearted hosts and have created a beautiful oasis here with all details thought about. Communication was excellent, and Belen was happy to cater for our dietary needs (including Celiac and dairy free) and cooked the most delicious meals using fresh produce from her garden! Breakfast was also fantastic with gluten free toast, soya milk, croissants for the wheat eaters and fresh tomato and olive oil. The Posada is in a great location, in a small, picturesque and friendly hamlet on the mountainside, with walks straight from the door. Indoors, there are lovely communal lounges, including large cozy wood burning stove, comfy sofas, local curiosities, antiques skis etc. The bedrooms are creatively and thoughtfully decorated with lovely bathroom and comfy beds. I'm sure it is a very cozy place to stay in all weathers! Lots of information available, maps, umbrellas, everything thought about. We would love to go back for longer. Thank you Belen!
Absolutely nothing. Just wish we could have staid for longer!

Verified reviewAccommodation we had a room with a balcony which was lovely. The room was clean and very pleasant. The hotel had a lovely fire place outside our room in the lounge area which was beautiful.
Belen, who is the owner of the hotel, in my opinion, was unprofessional. There was a misunderstanding which fired her up and with her strong character was loud and very rude. There is no way you speak to your paying guests the way she did. She was, in my opinion, arrogant.. Photos on booking.com misleading. Photos with balcony have a lovely view BUT not of the pool. Description needs to reflect exactly what you are paying . My advice to customers wanting to stay is to go. It's a lovely place, however AVOID. Belen and speak with José the husband, he is pleasant. Would I go back? No, because in all the countries I have travelled and stayed in 100's of hotels, I have never ever been spoken to so rudely. Belen has a tendency to lack quality customer service and especially how to speak with people. This isn't the first time. Booking.com should be addressing her attitude. They are using the room with the balcony photos to entice customers. Pricing for other rooms that don't have windows are over priced. A greedy approach has been adopted to take advantage

Verified reviewOwned and run by a lovely friendly couple who were very helpful when we arrived late at night in the dark with our dog. We had space to park the jeep with a trailer which was super handy. Amazing views, lovely cosy chalet vibes with log fire. Great walking spot! Thank you.

Verified reviewMagic Location/Environment - beautifully silent in the mountains - nothing but nature - enjoy the sunrise Magic Residence build and prepared with love Magic host - some people are born to be hosts and Belen is one of these few. And don’t miss to stay in ‘village’ (16 residents) for Belen’s self-made 3-course-diner, served on the tiny ‘Placa Iglesia’.

Verified reviewLovely location, good for walking with dogs
Host was rude and unfriendly when we arrived - made us feel really unwelcome. In the morning, she charged us 1.50€ each for a weak coffee, and scowled when we asked for a second one. This is not the way to ensure guests are happy and want to return.
I am sorry that you did not feel welcome arriving with 3 dogs weighing more than 40 kg, without warning I don't understand how you can leave a negative comment after having stayed in your conditions. You said you came with a dog and I told you that you could come with your pet UNA. You will show up 2 hours after what was agreed and with THREE. We only admit one large one or 2 small ones. I still accommodated you because it was at night and there are few places here that allow pets. At the second coffee, at 9:30 in the morning I politely asked you to take the dogs outside, since the three of them were still in the room, which is not very big and the smell was going to be horrible for the next guests. I don't think €1.50 for a double coffee is an exaggerated price. You should be grateful you didn't have to sleep on the street, which is what I should have done

Verified reviewTown is very charming. Hosts were very welcoming. Basic but good breakfast.
Room gets hot in summer and we only had a window in the ceiling which provided no draft. Google maps led us down some wrong roads so we had to backtrack (not the properties fault). Hotel is a 15 minute drive from a nearby town.

Verified reviewBasajarau is a small 'casa rural', a state-supported B&B providing valuable income to small Spanish smallholders and homes who provide basic but comfortable accommodation - and great home cooking! This casa is in Yosa de Sobremonte, a small hamlet in the Pyrennees. It is a very attractive old building which overlooks a steep and lovely valley, with winding paths, farm animals and plenty of outdoor sitting areas, all with beautiful views. Our host prepared a fantastic supper of grilled turkey and local vegetables, served outdoors, and breakfast next day was equally delicious. Terrific value for money - recommended.
