How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room, in general, was nice, is not the big thing but is just for stay a few days and that's all. If you wanna eat, you have to buy delivery or eat in a restaurant.
I liked the location, was really central, and have all the most relevant places nearby.

The ac range could be a bit bigger than 22-26c, as ofernight Is felt warm and having the ac off and window open would get me to get mosquito bites. Dry and clean bathrooms a bit more often. But really small issues the stay was great I really enjoyed the place and felt very comfortable!
Great stay overall! Comfortable rooms, great location, good value to stay in a nice area close to everything.

The sheets and towels should have been replaced decades ago. In need of significant redecoration and modernisation (but then it would cost more...). Looks like it isn't clean but we think it probably was but the poor maintenance gives a poor impression.
Quirky but basic old-fashioned hotel with shared bathrooms. Right in the middle of old Seville.

I picked this pension purely based on location and budget, indeed it is greatly located in Santa Cruz and fairly cheap. The pension is actually an old convent with high ceilings and little windows (at least on the ground floor), the room was run down, bed wasn't the softest, the bathrooms are very very basic. The noise is also a thing to consider when booking as it is noisy between the streets and the actual pension (the room's door was clunky and didn't shut completely)

I've stayed in hostels all over Sevilla many times. I tried something different this time and chose this location close to "Giralda". Bedding is immediately remarkable, resembling the type of sheets, blankets and pillowcases my grandmother might have used in her youth. Toilets and showers very poorly maintained and not ideal. Dilapidated building that probably just about provides sanctuary. Won't stay here again - not good value for money.

In the Winter season it may be a little bit cold although there is heating in the room.
Simple but acceptable accommodation.. The pension is located directly in the city center.

Showers got very flooded every morning after use.
Had a communal microwave, kettle and fridge to use. Absolutely essential with a baby! Room was large, excellent location.

Beds aren't confy: matress and pillows The shower needs a curtain to not spread water all over There was a girl in the reception ( not the one with glasses, the other one with tattoos) was not very nice and helpful.

It was grubby and shabby. The fridge freezer needed a good clean and defrost

My room looked like a prison cell. There wasn't a wardrobe or chest of drawers. All there was was a chair a stand with hangers & a small metal table The price of 45 euros was too high 20 euros would be more appropriate
The location in the Old Town was great . Narrow streets with many bars restaurants & shops

The bathrooms look dirty and outdated. The street is very noisy until very late and from very early (although the hostel has no control over this, obviously)
