The room was a little tired and needed a bit of love and attention. Scuff marks on walls, cracked tiles, silicone in bathroom needed renewing. Unfortunately Our garden facing balcony was above a noisy generator . On arrival the floor had not been properly cleaned and had hair and crumbs on it.

We loved the hotel location, the gardens, the terrace bar and beach food cafe and being able to order snacks without pre booking and with ease. The staff were friendly and responsive when I requested the floor should be cleaned. The bed was very comfortable.

They don't have a swimming pool; the public beach is in front of the hotel, but it's always crowded

We spent a few days in Costa Brava in this Hotel, and in general the experience was good, the staff were warm and the food was good, also the hotel has a great location, on one side of a forest with a good jogging path

If you charge over £400 per night for a 4* hotel we didn’t expect to have to pay another €25 each for breakfast nor should we be expected to pay €25 each to have a swim in the spa in my opinion and €8 per night to park a car.

The location is exceptional, the reception staff and bar staff excellent but the restaurant staff on the verge of rude.

Unfortunately, our dinner at the restaurant was not a good experience. The salad was fantastic but the entree’s were just so so. The biggest disappointment was the wait staff. It felt like to us they were just there to deliver food. No pleasantries or engagement of any kind. They just delivered food and never checked back. You had to ask them back for everything you needed. It was awkward and disappointing.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! Location great for us and the proximity to the sea was undeniable. The spa was lovely and our massages were excellent. Our Spa room was spacious and quiet and serene. We would definitely go back. Staff was patient and courteous. The breakfast was beyond fantastic, a 10+++.

The only snag were the restaurant and bar staff who were noisy, not very well managed and occasionally seem to be avoiding work. Such a contrast to the rest of the very hard working staff. With the restaurant manager please control and train your staff.

The feel and ambiance of the hotel is immediately relaxing as it is by the sea and the beach bar furnishing is successful, The bedrooms are very comfortable and the beds too.

Always the best experience at Hostal Spa Empuries. We've stayed here a couple times and will certainly come back as a tradition. The hotel - rooms, facilities, service, spa and food are simply exceptional. The location is magical! Nature meets aesthetics in here. We also came with a dog and were welcomed with a cute dog essentials gift bag.

Location is 10/10. Listening to the waves as you lie in bed. Breakfast was not bad and staff were very friendly. Spa was a bonus. Its nothing over the top, which to. be honest we loved. Just a really cosy welcoming place to spend a couple of days.

Excellent location, such a beautiful coast and beach. Fantastic to rent a bike and cycle along the coast! Breakfast and dinner were excellent quality. Massage in the spa was superb and very relaxing. I loved the interior of the hotel. Perfect spot!

Unfortunately we had a few ants in our bed, but bearing in mind the location it must be hard to keep them out, dinner was a bit pricey, so we went elsewhere, car park was secure but very sandy

Room service would have been nice. The Spa rooms are well designed but do not have the direct sea views as in the main hotel.

Location, location, location!!! Great hotel on a perfect beach adjacent to the Greek and Roman ruins. The restaurant has improved a lot (it had problems in the sumner). Very comfortable rooms.
