How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The mattress was a bit soft for me and bathroom very small.
I liked the location. The room was very clean and the beds were made for us everyday and room cleaned. I liked the cats around the court yard and free parking was a bonus.

The breakfast we paid had to be restricted to chooses in a menu, I thought it was buffet. Also the air conditioner was to strong specially during night
Super beautiful the surroundings inside. I really liked it. The staff were so nice. The clean of the room and overall was very good.

Room was very compact! You had to be pretty agile to move around … and the smallest toilet/shower cubicle!
Very reasonably priced hostal in quite central location. Close to beach, old town, restaurants and supermarket. Friendly staff. Room was clean but dated. Definitely value for money!

It’s just about on the border for walking into Taragonna especially in hot weather but it is straight up the Via Augusta. On site food a little basic but there was an excellent cafe at top of the lane
Good parking (though the lane down to the Hostal may not suit larger cars), clean, shower and WiFi good, helpful staff. Close to excellent beach. Daily room service. Used by a lot of Spaniards

Dodgy entrance off a busy road takes you dow a steep, really narrow alley with inches to spare each side of the car.
Great for access to a beach. Good sized room but, in our case, a tortuous climb to the first foot ( However we had declined a ground floor room so we were at fault)

Accès road very very narrow. Central heating boiler was opposite my room & kept turning on & off. Didn’t sleep well

Long check in with lots of rules to sign! No hairdryer in the room when advertised.

It was located down a hill, which has a tendency to flood. There was flooding while we were there, so ended up leaving early in the morning to ensure we weren't stranded.
The room was very basic, but there was breakfast included. The location was OK, a fair walk into the old town but manageable.

Walls are paper thin and decor a bit tired but absolutely fine for an over-nighter
Private parking. Decent (continental) breakfast. 5 mins walk to the sea and 3 mins walk to restaurants. Small cafe on site. Room had everything you need

Seemed run down and needing some attention. Location catered more for the beach areas than the centre. Long walk uphill to old area that interested me.
It was adequate but nothing special. Bathroom was better.

The room is okay and clean. If you pay +-60 euros a night I think it will be all right value for money. (We stayed here during festivities in Tarragona and paid 110 euro (10 euro extra for 2 dogs)). If you come by car, I hope it is a small car, because the road towards the hotel is very narrow. Staff is doing their work, not particularly super friendly or welcoming, but it is okay.

It was expensive for what we got. No airconditioning or working tv. The bed was very firm and it was a bit far from the center. We were not allowed to leave our pet unleashed at anytime or any place within the property. So we could not go anywhere, even for a little bit without him. The breakfast was very basic. A lot of noise from the trains that came.
The staff was very friendly and the shower was nice

The access road was a little narrow parking is quite tight but shouldn't be put off by this.
Not far from all local facilities and tucked away so pretty quite.

Location near to beach , on a bus route and only a short walk into Tarragona. The menu breakfast was lovely and the lady who served us was really nice. I recommend the pizza restaurant across the road from Aldi.

The personal was not very friendly just polite, breakfast was only toasts with jam and butter and coffee ( but they exchanged for tomatoes and olive oil on my request)
