The only disclaimer I have is that when someone rings the bell you hear it perfectly from inside of the room and also you can hear people chatting in the hallway. If you are a light sleeper you will probably wake up

The location is incredible, literally steps from puerta del sol. The building is old but the hostal is really well maintained, rooms are spacious and really neat. Beds are comfortable. The staff was really helpful and kind as well. You are able to leave your luggage until the room is ready or before leaving.

Excellent location. In the center of everything, and with very good soundproof windows. Although they don't give you the key to the room, they open the door for you at any time. The staff is super friendly, and the room was perfectly clean.

You must leave the key every time you leave the premises but Mrs Ana and her colleagues are there at anytime to open the door for you. So, I think it is rather a question of security for both the guests and themselves.

Daily cleaning, close to the pedestrian zone. Museums within walking distance (Royal Palace, Prado, Reina Sofia, Thyssen). Serafina restaurant right next door (great octopus 🙂). Luggage can be left upon check out. Metro station right next to the location. Noisy street, but you are in the heart of the city. We slept well anyway after lots of walking around.

It's very well located and from my balcony i had a great view of Plaza Puerta del Sol. Staff is great and the owner (Ana Belen) is a very kind person. All staff make you feel as if you were at home. The apartment was super super clean and tidy and bed linen and towels were super clean with good smell, you really feel comfortable at this place, i super recommend.

I couldn't find a better place to visit Madrid as I always do with european capitals: find a central accomodation and walk around without goals, enjoying every corner of the city and having all the must see just right there. This is exactly what I got. The hostel Is just in Puerta del Sol, close to the Apple Store. My room did even have a balcony with a lovely view on the madrid streets and tops, just the kind of things I fall in love with. The lady who hosted me was always full of empaty and smiling, giving me lot of advises about how to move in Madrid. Plus, She gave me the card you have to use for Madrid metro, otherwise I would have wait at least 1 hour only to get one: that was sooo lovely!! Grazie mille!!!

If you are fussy about noise then you won’t be happy here - but then you probably shouldn’t come to Madrid. As is typical in simple Spanish hotels, there is no breakfast to be had.

I loved the little balcony in our room, and the old-fashioned shutters. The receptionist was lovely, although she didn’t have much English (but my Spanish is almost non-existent, so I’m not complaining)! The location, right around the corner from Puerta del Sol, and close to dozens of tapas bars is amazing. Because I had been to Madrid before, I knew how noisy it is, so I arrived with ear plugs - and you should do the same! I initially chose this hotel because of the price, but I would definitely return because of the location, the pleasant rooms, and the friendly service.

The amenities in the bathroom, they use sachets for shampoo and shower gel, which are not easy to be opened and very little amount.

There is no essential problem with this place. You can't take people / guests to your room as you need to leave the keys at the place (they open immediately when you ring the bell, no matter what time). As well they offer little packages of Shampoo and Gel .. they are really hard to open, when you hands are wet, that was kind of annoying.

The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly. It's located at Plaza des Sol, of course it is loud at night, but closing the windows helps and the AC is working fine. The room is small but has everything you need.

You can’t have a more central location in Madrid! We got a room facing the cortyard so it was really quite despite the central location. Very nice and clean room and the staff was super friendly!

The gel and shampoo sachets were impossible to tear open. Neither my friend nor I could manage. So, we asked for scissors. When we came back to the room at night, the scissors were there, and they had even cut a few of the sachets already open fo us. Very considerate. My suggestion would be to buy a different brand. :)

Room was simple, but clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again if I wanted to be in the centre of Madrid.

My room overlooked the Puerto Del Sol square which was noisy Friday and Saturday. I'm a good sleeper and ear plugs sorted things. Other minor niggle was having to give room keys in before you went out each time and buzz to be let in.

it's kind of hard to get to (in the centro) and it's a little high up in the building so getting in and out is a little annoying. But this is how most hostels are over there.

I booked this place on a 2 hour notice because my baggage was lost on the way to spain. The place is clean, quiet, private rooms/bathrooms, and great staff. Couldn't ask for much more.

They exceeded my expectations. The accommodation is very central, very close to public transport and on foot you can visit the whole historic center without any worries! The facility as well as the room were very clean. Ironed sheets, in the bathroom with everything you need. The ladies are so kind and ready to help and answer any of your questions or needs, that I can only thank them for everything! The room faced the street, but the windows of the room are so well soundproofed that there was no noise (air conditioning was used). A stay in the heart of the historic city that I really recommend to everyone!!!
