Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was very noisy. Also, the beds were a little uncomfortable, and there was no air condition or fridge in the room.
It was clean and functional. Rooms were cleaned every day. New towels provided when necessary. There is a bus stop right outside that gets you into town.

ItalyI arrived at Burges at 13:30 hours, the Hostel reception opened at 16:00 hours, next time I have to arrive later. The hot shower was a little bit too hot, next time the temperatyure must be regulated better.
I finished the Camino at Burgos. The Hostel is just near the border of Burgos, so I did not walk much more, take notice that day I walked 34,1 km. The Hostel is near the new station for HI-Speed trains and easy to arrive by foot (1.7 km) The staff is very polite. The next day my depart was early (5:40 AM) so I did my shopping for the breakfast in an Auchan supermarket at 300 meter distance. There were no restaurants around the Hostel, McDonalds or Burger King I don't call restaurants, but there is a kebab-café near another hostel with very nice people to serve you

United KingdomNothing - other than the weather. Bloomin' rain!
Easy to find hotel on the outskirts of Burgos. Underground parking for the motorbike which was reassuring which I had to pay extra for. (There are limited places note). Clean, friendly, comfortable and quiet. No food but vending machines if needed. Plenty of food opportunities near about. No.1 bus just outside goes straight to the city centre every 10 mins or so. Overall I would stay again.

United StatesFor us on the Camino it was a bit on the outskirts of town. No fault of the hostal, though.
Property was clean. Hostess was friendly and helpful. Told us where to find laundry and how to navigate bus.

United KingdomI chose this accomodation as it was close to the rail station ie 30 mins walk. It was not close to the centre. The train station is not close to the centre of the city. On the positive there was a city bus to the centre at 1.20 euros, I never had to wait. Eat in the city, the local restaurant was MacDonalds. Reception service was poor.

United KingdomNo facilities for breakfast. Also parking I found a bit awkward for motorbikes as the hotel entrance is on a pedestrian area and you have to leave your bike and walk round. I couldn't work out how to open garage door when leaving and got stuck on the ramp out and had to wait for a car to come. Probably would help if I had been given instructions given you have to pay extra. Was also noisy with window open due to being on main road. It's also quite a distance outside main centre.
Room was basic but clean and comfortable

United KingdomI was in Burgos due to my mum's health severe problem, unfortunately she passed away and the stuff at the hotel were very nice to me and even when I had to cancel the next night that I had booked already they gave me the import back. Apart of that, the place is very recommendable for that price.

CanadaDepending on preferences, the TV didn’t work at all and was oddly placed. check in time is a bit restrictive but manageable. We had a car so it was an easy drive to the centre, walking is a bit far but there’s also public transport.
Easy check in and it was quiet, clean and had good water pressure. Also, the heat was on fully and it was a perfect temp. large bathroom too. it’s a great little stop and better than some r3 star hotels.

United StatesIt is a little far from city center & city attractions, about 4km, but can take a bus or a taxi to get there. No washer & dryer.
The staff can speak English, which is very important to me. The hotel is clean, quit and there are supermarket & restaurants nearby.. I decided to stay an extra day in the city, so I extended my stay in the same hotel too.

BrazilIt say on the web that there is internet everywhere in the hotel and even a conference room. Both are wrong. We are students and we had to buy an amplifier for the internet so we could get it. We also saw others at the hotel had to do the same thing. Soo we wanted to use the conference room that was advertised on booking.com. There there isn´t any conference room. So if in need of internet the rooms just nest to the elevator are probably the best.
Housekeeping was great and staff alltogether.

BrazilBe aware that there is no reception, there are 2 girls are the front door from 16 to 22 only. I message the hotel to ask to drop my luggage at 11 am and there was no answer. I went to the hotel anyway, it was closed. I called the phone number 5 times, no answer. So far, nobody replied my message or called me back, communication is poor. Plus, the address on booking is wrong, the hotel entrance is in a square, not at Calle Victoria, 261. The hotel also fail to communicate this to me in advance. I only found out because a guy living in the building told me after I was standing at the building entrance for more than 15 min with my luggage.
The location is great. It’s 3 min from bus stop that will take you to city centre in 15 min. Shops and cafes just outside the hotel. Room and bathroom were very clean. It’s comfy and silent. The 2 girls at the reception on Saturday afternoon are lovely!
