Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Cute little hotel in a great location. Close to the train station and old Toledo. Bathroom was very clean and nice.

SpainAccommodation only, you will need to hike up a hill for breakfast. Oddly the hotel offered free coffee, but only as long as it was black as there was no milk available during our three night stay.
Good location just outside the city wall, although you need to be fit to visit Toledo. Modern fittings in our small double room.

United KingdomAlthough we were a little disappointed with the hotel, we have to accept that it is only a 2 star hotel and so taking that into account I suppose it was reasonable value for money. We arrived at around 3.30 pm and found that the hotel was not manned at reception. Instead we had to speak to a call centre through an intercom outside. They then let us in and there was a screen with a person talking to us! They then asked for our phone number so that they could ring us and take our personal details and give us a code for our room door and for the outside front door. We found all this a bit manic as it was noisy with people arriving and shouting to be heard. When we left the room at 4.00 pm there was a young man on reception who said he would be there until, I think, either 8 or 10 pm. He was helpful and friendly. The hotel was very noisy with the heavy front door constantly being banged and the electronic keypads on the rooms bleeping. Also, footsteps on the floor above and down the stairs. The room itself was very small - fine if you only have a rucksack but nowhere to put a suitcase. We had booked a room with a terrace but the terrace was very dirty and not suitable for sitting in. It didn't help that there had been some dusty rain but we were there for 2 nights and the terrace wasn't cleaned at all. The one next door, however, seemed fine.
The hotel is about a 10-minute uphill walk into the main town so the location, especially having a reasonable amount of on-street parking nearby is pretty good for Toledo. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the aircon was very good. The bathroom also had a good shower. We managed to get a parking space right across the road from the hotel, for which you pay between the hours of 10am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm. You can, however, overpay and it automatically carries over the remainder into the next time zone so we didn't have to move the car in the 3 days/2 nights we were there. (It only takes card payment). Take a trip on the little tourist train as it goes across the valley and you get fantastic views of the city. Make sure you're sitting at the end of a row though as it's impossible to take photos from the middle when the train is full!

United KingdomThe check in was a pain and the remote person had no knowledge of the area for advice.
Easy parking on the roadside but confusing parking zones. Orange is public and green is residents only. Room was very nice and clean. Good sized bathroom and great shower. Self service coffee available in breakfast room which was a bonus. Easy walk into Toledo which is beautiful. Check in was remote and a pain.
