The homeless man sleeping on a mattress outside the apartment building. He used a wall just up the street a bit for his WC. There was trash in the small street. Quite a turn off.

The kitchen was well equipped The location was convenient to Arc de Truimp and Barcelona Cathedral.

As mentioned, lots of stairs! When we arrived we were very tired from travelling and it was a struggle to get our bags upstairs, but luckily there was a cleaning lady there who was so sweet and helped us with them. However, by the end of the week, the stairs felt much easier and I brought our bags down with ease. The TV didn’t work, staff were very helpful and told us a maintenance person could come to fix it, but we weren’t bothered enough to spend valuable holiday time waiting to get the TV fixed so we just didn’t use it - would have been nice for it to work though. Would also have loved a shelf in the shower, wasn’t a big deal but a bit inconvenient.

Very nice little apartment, great location. Incredibly clean and well looked after, a good kitchen with a full sized fridge and small freezer, well stocked with equipment - we made breakfast most days and made dinner a couple of times. We weren’t bothered by noise as the bedroom was away from the window. Lots of stairs but by the end of the week we quite enjoyed the workout. Super easy to walk to many places (less than 25 minutes walk to the beach!) and there were so many lovely gluten free places nearby.

Homeless person sleeping at your door. No light in stairwell, had to use iphone torch, we were on the 4th floor.

Very little - although could do with somewhere to hang a towel in the bathroom and a couple of extra cleaning products to wipe and clean tables etc. also instructions on where to put recycling and refuse would be helpful.

Clean, reasonably well equipped, comfortable property, ideal for a few days exploring Barcelona. Location is perfect to walk to most popular attractions within 20-30 mins. Air conditioning was appreciated! Booking communication was clear and appreciated the secure entry for the building and apartment. It’s in the gothic quarter which can feel a bit eerie at night and there are a few people sadly sleeping rough as in most cities but never had a problem - we loved the area!

was very comfortable for 3 people to stay, very handy little kitchen for cooking breakfast and washing machine for clothes during the stay! Location was great, near the metro and Barcelona cathedral, was very surprised when I read negative reviews about the street being unsafe, we were a group of 3 young women and had no issues coming home late at night. There was one man who obviously was sleeping rough on the street outside but he didn’t bother us and was polite, said hello to him passing the first day and that was it! Maybe people visiting are used to more clean touristy areas and less residential, but unhoused people are not dangerous inherently and deserve respect and kindness like everyone else!

The location was super noisy during the whole day and night. We could see the homeless man staying / sleeping right next to the door of the building during the whole period of our staying. We understand that it’s out of control of the host for sure, but it leaves somehow unpleasant experience. Though, looking at the bright sight, we always cool recognize our door :)

The host is really nice. All communication was kind and swift, including ability of earlier check-in. Even when we’ve had an issue with the fridge, it was replaced for a new once pretty quickly (with a sweet compliment left on top for inconveniences). The apartment was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The location was also quite convenient for accessing city sights, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. Metro station is also close.

Location was walking distance to lots of key landmarks and the beach! Heaps of food and drink options around also. Nice to have our own area and room.

Amentities were very basic. Knives were very dull and could be dangerous. Things around the kitchen sink were starting to wear very badly. The stove and washing machine should come with instructuctions. The bed room had no air flow and no window so was very stuffy. We were on the 2nd floor and there were noisy and sketchy people below, so we were afraid to keep our windows open at night.

We were allowed in early and appreciated that. It was a good central location. Cleaning staff in the building were very friendly and overall the building was clean.

The bathroom was a bit dated, but functional, and the kitchen was tiny but contained most things we needed.

The apartment is in a great location, very vibrant authentic old part of town that is all narrow laneways and tiny shops and apartments, and there are so many delightful bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from within minutes of the front door. Also close to hand is the Palau de la Música which is an absolute must see, and L’Arc de Triomf and Parc de la Ciutadella. In addition the are a number Metro stations nearby which provide easy access via the wonderful Metro system to all parts of Barcelona. The apartment itself is small but serviceable. It is in an old building so there are compromises, such as only access is via narrow stairs and the layout of the apartment is not open plan. However it was very comfortable and relatively quiet except from the occasional neighbour returning late and being a bit noisy on the stairs, but this was minor and did not detract from our enjoyment.

Nice location, didn't feel to crowded. Great to have a larger refrigerator. Good included internet speed.
