How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It's a little difficult to drive into Jaen as the roads alternate a lot on the return journey from the sites in Karen.
Very nice comfortable hotel with nice rooms and friendly staff especially the male receptionist on arrival.great personality.

Everything was top rate. Even our cat was very happy here. Breakfast selection was excellent. Would always stay here in future.

I had to provide my dog's passports. It's not a "don't like", it's just that I've never been asked before, and we travel alot.
Modern hotel, room was quiet, nice staff, fabulous big bed & bathroom. Working air con (big bonus because it's very hot outside). Parking is outside on the road (not busy), you can drop your stuff at the door then find a parking spot. I paid e100 deposit for my 2 dogs, which is returned when the room is inspected on departure (my dogs are clean, quiet & very well behaved so I prefer this to the random fee amounts hotels charge for dogs).

Food choice was snack like rather than a mail meal type offering. May suit business type customers rather than tourists.
Staff were really good, hotel very modern, the hotel is outside of Jaen, so it's a taxi into the town. Parking for motorbikes catered for.

Location is very good for exploring around Jaen by car. There was lots of free parking space all around the area. Airco worked well, we had a nice view of the city and parador fortress on the hill. Breakfast was decent and there is a free coffee machine in the lobby. We had a very nice stay.

A bit of smell in the room.
We had a lovely weekend stay at HO Ciudad de Jaén. The hotel is in a quiet area just outside the city, which makes it a great base if you’re exploring Jaén and the surrounding region by car - we even did a day trip to Granada with ease. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a small terrace, which was a nice touch for some fresh air. The bathroom was slightly outdated, but everything was clean and worked well, so it wasn’t an issue. We were traveling with our dog, and it was great that pets stay free (just a refundable deposit of €100, which we got back without any problem). It’s not always easy to find pet-friendly hotels, so this was a big plus for us. Overall, a quiet and convenient hotel, ideal for a relaxing weekend if you’re exploring Andalucía by car. We’d happily stay here again.

Loads of mirrors everywhere , feel a bit " followed" in the room . And the lack of really private " closed off" parking .

The only negative is that the address given wasn’t recognised by my standalone gps device (TomTom) so we resorted to a phone - not my preferred option on a motorbike.
The whole building really has the wow factor. Our room was a great size with twin beds and a generous size bathroom. As we didn’t want to travel further having checked it, we took advantage of the restaurant, and the food was superb. You’re virtually in a motorway services with the location, but boy it doesn’t feel like that! Tons of free parking - I’m pretty sure you’ll be guaranteed a space. But it can be a long walk to reception… so you can pull in outside the entrance to drop bags and a passenger while you park.
