Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaRooms and the hotel overall is very old. Fridge is really missing here for longer stays. I have bean in 3 rooms here and 2 of them was close to some water pumps that was waking me up in the middle of the night.
Staff is super friendly, especially lady called Carla. Swimming pool is good in the hot summer days. There is good AC in every room.

There is a nice pool, open very limited time in the year. When I entered the pool It wasnt prefect clean and all the srounding to lie in the beach beds are quite a bit old. If they open it a month in a year, why not to close it and put more efforts in the the rooms, cleaning, fixing, make over. The corridors and the lobby is old but really nice.

IrelandThere is not much to do in the area. It's about a 30 minute walk to the town centre.
It seems to be under new management. The staff were friendly and my room was spacious. The bar was open with some basic snacks until 8pm. There is a service station across the road.

United KingdomOne downside was the lack of staff around at breakfast time. All the tables were dirty where they had been used and not cleared, some items were unavailable due to not being restocked, and there were no clean glasses for fruit juices. One member of staff could have kept on top of all of this. I expected the pool to be open at the end of May in Spain. Sadly this was not the case.
The staff were very friendly, the hotel was spacious, although sadly the pool wasn’t operational. The room was clean and tidy and of adequate size. The bed was comfortable.

United KingdomCrossing the road to head into town was a bit scary!!!!
Clean and comfortable hotel on outskirts of Haro with parking. Excellent value for money, friendly helpful staff on reception. Original booking was for 1 night but we stayed another. We walked into town which was about 20 minutes (no bars on the way!) and were happy with that but others might not be. Lovely swimming pool at the back. We had a side room so no noise - a good stop to explore Haro and the surrounding villages

SpainWhere to begin. This is a busy hotel with bad service (lack of staff maybe) and cafeteria with very little to offer, on the Saturday of my stay there was no beer available for example! No selection of food on offer except for overpriced breakfast and sandwiches , what a missed opportunity for a hotel with full kitchen, 1.5km from town and no competition close by. No daily cleaning given, smallest bathroom I've ever seen and generally rundown.
Pool and comfortable bed. Nothing else.

SpainA Pleasant Stay in the Heart of La Rioja I recently had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Ciudad de Haro. This hotel offers a great blend of traditional charm and comfortable amenities, making it a solid choice for exploring the La Rioja wine region. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and good advice, which really made a difference to our experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. We particularly appreciated the ample free parking, which is a huge convenience when traveling by car. The pool area was a lovely bonus, offering a refreshing spot to relax and unwind, especially after a warm day. While our stay was largely excellent, a few minor touches could elevate the experience further. The decor, while charming, felt a little dated in some areas, and the air conditioning in our room, while functional, wasn't as powerful as we'd hoped on a particularly warm evening. Overall, the Hotel Ciudad de Haro provides excellent value and a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring Haro and the surrounding wineries, and I would certainly recommend it for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

United KingdomThe toilet was dirty with bad stains. We had ants in the room. Everything closed at 8 o’clock in the evening so if you wanted to have a drink or a meal then it was a 20 minute walk into town but on Sundays most all the eating places closed.
Had a nice swimming pool as the weather was really very hot. The staff was nice and tried to be helpful.

NetherlandsWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel while traveling as a family with a toddler. Although the hotel is a bit outdated in appearance, we were pleased to see that renovation work is already underway, showing real commitment to improving the space. What truly stood out—and made our stay exceptional—was the level of cleanliness. Every corner of our room was immaculate, from the sparkling bathroom fixtures to the crisp, freshly made beds. As parents with a toddler crawling around, we were incredibly grateful for the exceptional standards of hygiene. It gave us genuine peace of mind. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist, and the breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh, high-quality options perfect for both kids and adults. We felt comfortable, cared for, and safe. Highly recommended, especially for families who prioritize cleanliness and friendly service.

For 2 elderly people , only l spare blanket and 1 spare pillow. And the room was cold. Plus the both windows were frosted. So no view. Was a little disappointed. But it served its purpose.
