Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandBedrooms are dated and need upgrading. We had 2 rooms: 2 people in one room, 3 in the other. Both rooms were same size so the room with 3 was extremely tight on space.
Staff were exceptional, premises spotless clean.

United Kingdompool programme was badly planned with polo starting at the time everyone comes back from the nap and returns to the pool. in my opinion it could take place in the deeper pool, rather than making 30 people wait on the side of the pool for an hour, as you can't really safely swim either side of the players. housekeeping is lousy, they don't clean properly, we had bread crumps left on the table, dust finger deep and very dirty floors after cleaning until i complained. housekeeping also don't collect any dirty dishes, just leave it on tables. it has only improved after i complained 2 times. beds are comfy but the completely roll apart (despite the staff ensuring me they won't), and my son have continuously slept in the gap. if you practice twin beds pushed together at least tie it together - each time you turn the beds move apart!
The location is great, so is the food. I was appalled at how dirty the rooms are. The reception staff was friendly but sometimes it was difficult to get things done as the housekeeping seems to be completely out of touch. In canteen the food was good, so was the range. It would be great to have a children kitchen with simple things like pizzettas, french fries and chiken wings, however we have survived fine :-) . canteen is very clean and well run. common area toilets are also regularly cleaned, cafe was nice, and so was the pool.

IrelandThe bedrooms are bit on the small side and are quite dated. They could do with an update. Rooms facing the front of the hotel are quite noisy as their is a main road running beside the hotel.
Location was fantastic, hotel was spotless clean. Reception staff were very helpful all throughout our stay. Great choice for breakfast. Entertainment was good.

United KingdomShower water occasionally went hot and cold, couldn’t get air con to work however not too fussed as went in May, otherwise would have spoken to a member of staff to help out if I was uncomfortably hot. Would have liked evening meal to start slightly earlier. Also you can’t buy a glass of wine with the evening meal, only a full bottle which was too much. Would be good for entertainment to start slightly earlier too.
Excellent location with lots going on in the area and a few minutes walk to the beach, lots of regular buses available. Great hotel, loved my room, it was cosy with lamps and the curtains blocked out most of the sunlight, decent balcony size too and was sheltered when it rained. The food was very good with a different choice every night, plates and cutlery were always spotless. Good evening entertainment, especially the Mexican show. Pool area very nice. 12pm check out was a bonus.

United KingdomBar staff rude at times. Completely ignored me when I tried to order a drink. Some reception staff were rude when I asked them for help. I had major problems with the people next door and I asked in multiple times to be moved rooms and they would not let me, saying the hotel was full even though I could book rooms online still. This was causing me a lot of stress but they wouldn’t offer any solutions accept to call reception after midnight and they will have a word with them. They also wouldn’t offer any help or updates when we experienced a power outage. Had to have a shower in pitch black. The food options were very poor for a vegetarian (virtually no veggie options which meant I ended up just having plain pasta and chips every night. Pudding options and breakfast options were very good however.
Facilities were great, room very clean and modern. Balcony view wonderful. Pool area lovely and clean and enjoyable to sit around.

IrelandNothing really.
We arrived for 2 nights on the way home from a cruise holiday and to be close to Reus. We happened to be there during the Spain/Portugal power outages that impacted the whole country. To say the hotel was impressive is an understatement. Activities continued around the pool. A generator kept power to the common areas (except bedroom itself). Food was available when so many others were out of power. While it's normally a review about the usual stuff I must say the staff were amazing in a difficult situation and I was so impressed. Outside of that the rooms were clean, amenities were good and activities were great fun. The breakfast and dinner were excellent and the location was so close to everything. I would definitely make this a location for a future longer holiday.

SpainI had a hard time regulating the temperature in my room. It was very humid in Salou during the days I was there and I was cold in the room and could not get the heat to work correctly. My view from the balcony was also not ideal as it faced the backside of the hotel, but it was still a nice and spacious balcony.
The room was spacious and the hotel was clean. My double bed was huge! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was huge with a large variety of options. I would recommend getting down to breakfast on the earlier side to beat the line.

IrelandI cant say I didnt like anything as such.
Food was fresh, for dinner there could be more meat or chicken on the menu. However we were happy with what we had. The room was clean and all staff were very nice and helpful. Beds could be bit more softer, pillows were good. It would have been nice to have had more interesting day time activities at hotel. For example maybe yoga, darts or throwing rings even that type of activity.
