United KingdomThe bed was so uncomfortable , I woke up with a bad back every morning . It would have been really useful to have some information in the room in English for example a map of the hotel and surrounding area , timings for meal times . We should have made a real effort to learn some Spanish before our trip . Very little English was spoken.
Beautifully nestled in the Cantabria countryside it was ideal for us as a family needing some rest and recuperation . Very quiet and peaceful . The food was varied and excellent and we really enjoyed access to the spa ( one access per person per night stay ).

The Garden are stunning. Well maintained. Views exceptional. Other amenities close by if travelling by car. This review starts by mentioning my experience with another site that unfortunately impacted my experience with this web site because booking.com couldn't accommodate my 3 nights stay on a half board basis. So on arrival I was allocated a room that Unfortunately was an attic room on L3 main hotel. Room no 305. Admittedly it was recently decorated & modern. Anyway the lovely concierge at reception moved us to the other side of the hotel grounds the older garden area with a beautiful view and balcony and fridge and bathroom toiletries but no shower cap. He absolutely went above and beyond. It's my first time ever complaining about a room to be perfectly honest. I would consider it again because this is the room I did reserve through the booking.com site. This hotel is stunning. It's spotless. We used the cafe in the beautiful garden during our stay. The Food was good and the drinks were reasonably priced. Plenty of parking when events aren't on which are mostly during the summer season. There Is parking in the village a few hundred meters away. Spa facilities are highly promoted but we didn't use those. The location is perfect for a drive to the beach in Saunces. Or a trip up to the commercial centre in Santander. Great relaxing stay before we headed home to the UK from Santander. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Half board is a great option the food in the restaurant is exceptional and the presentation is just beautiful. The staff are all wonderful and some speak fluent English. My reason for booking this hotel is the location to Santander and its a 4* with a huge pool as the weather had been 38 degrees at time of booking but dropped to 20 ish degrees/ intermittent clouds but that was a welcome change

IrelandFor people who like very quiet rooms, you can hear people on the corridors closing doors etc. I didn’t mind, but it might bother light sleepers.
Fantastic place to spend a few days! The spa facilities are lovely. The outdoor pool is great. Staff are helpful. Breakfast had a good selection and the rooms were very comfortable.

Netherlandslater found out most rooms have single beds and doubles are very limited. If that’s the case, it should be clearly stated during booking—most likely, you’ll get single beds. Setting proper expectations matters. Also, the rooms feel outdated and could use a refresh.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The pool area is simply amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The piano bar is a relaxing place to end your day and the pianist was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

United StatesIt’s in need of some updating- the bathroom counter was delaminating and the towels were old. The bar was only open Friday and Saturday. No kleenex or coffee facilities in the room and you had to order room service for ice.
The Jardin restaurant was a wonderful surprise- very elegant food, fabulous service and very reasonable. The grounds were lovely and the setting was gorgeous.
