Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalThe cleanliness in the children's dining area was terrible. The cutlery, plates, and cups were always dirty, and the high chairs were also not properly cleaned.
Incredible views from the room. Very spacious room. The hotel feels like you're on a cruise ship, with the vast expanse of sea all around you. Great saltwater pools, uncrowded, very relaxing, and with ocean views. Breakfast was very good, and dinner had a great selection of different dishes. Nearby beaches are within walking distance along the promenade, which the hotel offers a panoramic elevator with direct access. Amadores Beach is very good, a little over a 10-minute walk.

SwitzerlandI called reception numerous times - lack of response each time Our room was very large with a good balcony. Would suggest less use of grey and more paintings - the room seemed rather austere, needing a more holiday vibe.
Service from the room cleaner and restaurant staff Breakfast on the terrace Availability of outdoor spaces Location Variations at the buffets - half board.

IrelandThere could be a lot better use of the space in our room (which was huge) with a partition wall to separate kids bed or a separate living, seemed a waste of such a wonderful room with a huge balcony with fantastic views. The room needs to be updater and painted, there were lots of scuffs and marks on the walls and the shower doors were broken, 2 panels hanging off. There was no bed made up for our 2 children when we arrived and no bed linen but staff were always obliging when we rang to let them know. Food in the snack bar was disappointing, would be nice to have a couple of small food options at the pool bar like a toasted sandwich or pizza etc
The property was lovely, clean, friendly staff, views were spectacular, kids club staff very kind . Our room was huge with a massive balcony and jacuzzi. Views were fabulous. The facilities in general are great as are the pools and the location, the lobby is lovely and the check in with a glass of cava and the welcome treats was a nice touch as was the voucher for a free meal.

United KingdomThe hotel would not accept payment by Halifax Clarity Mastercards even when we used them in hotel shops, minimarkets, shops, restaurants and airport without any problem. And we have a large limit on both cards, hence no reason there. We used the same card the previous year without problem in the same hotel. They said that it is a fault of the bank machines they use; however this should be sorted out!! Our room has been cleaned daily with plenty of clean (a bit worned) towels, but the floor was full of dust you gather on your slippers and not hoovered or cleaned daily. I needed to ask the cleaner to make an effort and clean the floor for us.
Large, well-equipped room, quiet location, friendly staff.

IrelandWe stayed in room 3615, while it was a huge room which we were grateful for as we had a 10 month old & 12 year old. The room was very dated, old fashioned & run down. There was a jacuzzi bath & shower in the centre of the room which were not private .. which can be tricky when sharing with a pre-teen. The room was not at all what is shown in the pictures on booking.com I did go to reception on the first day & they were willing to switch but while the room they offered was modern.. it was tiny for 4. So we stayed where we were. The biggest issue with the room was the noise, it’s directly under the restaurant & it was like a train station. At mealtimes you can hear a constant moving of furniture but at night time between 10pm & 11pm they are setting up for breakfast & they are rolling karts around & moving tables & chairs. It woke our baby boy several nights. I would suggest the management team visit this room after 10pm to witness how bad it is. This room shouldn’t be given to anyone with a small baby or if it is they are fully aware of the noise issue. The room was fully serviced & clean , we could not fault that.
Staff were amazing, great amenities & facilities at the hotel especially for kids.

United KingdomSince first visiting back in 2024, I've noticed the food is not as good as it used to be. I stayed all inclusive but sometimes struggled to find something decent to eat. The standard has definitely fallen in the last year and is not what I would consider 4-star.
This is the second time I've stayed at this beautiful hotel and I'm back again in June 2025. The views onto the ocean are second to none, you would honestly think you were on the deck of a cruise ship.

IrelandLift to seafront was out of order one morning and we had to walk out the main door to get down to the seafront. The road is very steep going down, we nearly slipped a few times. A lot of elderly people struggling. Think the hotel should have provided a shuttle bus for the time the lift was out of action. On arrival we were not allocated the room we had booked and had to stay in another room overnight. It was sorted the next day but wasn't a great start to our holiday.
The hotel is amazing, from check-in to restaurants and bars the staff are amazing. Rooms are a great size too. Location is great if you use the lift to the seafront. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach, bars/restaurants in Puerto Rico. Everything is spotlessly clean. Lots of sunbeds too.

United KingdomOverall a lovely hotel. Food is average. Kids pool is great and wasn't overly busy during our stay. Rooms were kept nice and clean and the service at the bars / restaurant was great. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to two beautiful beaches. What I would say is the check in process is awful. Firstly, despite confirming with the hotel twice, our transfer at the airport didn't arrive. We stood at the airport for an hour with two young children and when the hotel finally answered the phone, he initially said it was our fault as our plane was delayed (it wasn't delayed) and then admitted it hadn't been booked by them. When we finally arrived at the hotel, we were told to come back at 2pm as the room wasn't ready, which was fine. Came back at 2pm and had to wait another 45 minutes for the key. I had to go back to reception on another occasion as the housekeeping (not Miguel) who brought the beds in had left our door wide open, leaving all of our belongings on show (including passports, tablets etc) however the staff weren't bothered or apologetic in any way. It was at this time that where were around 5 new (angry) parties trying to check in and one member of staff snapped at the other "I'm playing Tetris in my mind right now with these rooms!! I can't think!!" Which I thought was so unprofessional. Finally, when I had to provide details for our return transfer, the reception staff made me walk all the way back to our room (4 floors and a long corridor away) to obtain our receipt to show we had paid and then asked me to pay again. This conversation went on for 30 minutes before he admitted he was wrong and now understood. This was a big kick in the teeth seen as they'd messed up the initial transfer and caused us to arrive at the hotel flustered. Any enquiry with reception turns into an absolute mission. That being said, Pablo (kids entertainer) was amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful.

FinlandA bit slow check in.
Very luxurious. For some reason they gave me a room with private swimming pool even though I paid for just a basic room :) I was happy with that. The hotel is huge and it has spectacular views to the sea. Also there was a easy way to the seaside walkway. Breakfast was varied.

RomaniaThe pool was not heated, as we were informed previously through chat.
We had a pleasant stay. A bit disorganised the activities offered. Too many people/quests, and too much chaos, when you have children. We liked that they tried to mix things, to satisfy everyone-but that it is hard to succeed. All in all it was a very nice experience for us, booking at this hotel.

NorwayIt took six days to repair one elevator, those things should be done a bit faster in such a huge hotel. It was obvious that some pieces of furniture in my room had been used in years (chair for example).. that could be improved. Other than that, everything was perfect!

IrelandWe went All inclusive and for us the buffet restaurant was ok, food was standard. Did the job. Beds were uncomfortable but once noted hotel promptly sent up a mattress toper which made all the difference.
Beautiful hotel, location was excellent with fabulous sea views and easy access to the promenade to Amadores beach and Puerto Rico centre. Facilities are very good, pools area lovely, very clean and plenty of space. Good service at the pool bars and in the saloon bar. We had a twin room for four of us and it was really spacious, large balcony with sun loungers & table chairs. Kids club was great and the staff were excellent.
