Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe hotel only allows dogs to go on the bottom floor. This means you don’t get a view at all. As more dogs are staying in the same floor, some of them bark as they hear each other. I would suggest separating them so they don’t see/hear/smell each other and avoid barking. Also allocating other rooms for pet owners so they can also appreciate the views they come to the hotel for.
The hotel was great. The rooms were a good size. Everyone was friendly.

GermanyThe interior of our room had seen better days, while everything was neat and working you could clearly see the past of time and some failed maintenance attempts... Nothing that bothered us, but sometimes you rather keep signs of the passing of time than doing unprofessional repairs, it just drives attention where you don't want.
The location is worth the real annoying traffic situation. The hotel design is remarkable and in the perfect spot for visiting the city or the strands. The exterior is spacious and so are the rooms. The personal well educated and supportive. We did use the underground parking which is spacious and had enough empty places even the outside was crowded and we arrived late afternoon. We also enjoyed a good breakfast.

United KingdomAs we arrived on a Sunday we did not realise that there was nothing available for us to eat or drink in the hotel. We had a drink in the next door hotel on their rooftop bar and managed to buy a takeaway pizza. In future it would be good for guests to be made aware of this, especially as it is holiday time.
This hotel had everything we needed. Comfortable room, clean and plenty of room for clothes, suitcases etc. Very good position. Not too near the busy central part of the city with a fabulous walk along the seafront. Special thanks to Emil (I think that was his name) who made breakfast a great occasion. Very welcoming and always a chat about football. His English was excellent.

United KingdomWe got the shower to work with our shower chair but it required some careful manoeuvring around the glass side of the shower and down into the shower tray. Whilst there is a ramp up to the rooftop bar and swimming pool, it was too steep to use safely. Otherwise access was good and great to be able to unload the car at the front of the hotel and have parking on site ( although unlike some other hotels we’ve stayed there was a charge for wheelchair car parking).
Good wheelchair accessible room with plenty of space for the portable hoist. Staff were helpful and the food at breakfast and dinner was plentiful and of a high standard. Great location at the end of the main beach and, other than the old town itself, Gijon is easy to get round with a wheelchair.

United KingdomGreat modern hotel in the heart of gijon. Swimming pool was closed during our 24-25 may 2025 stay. As per receptionist the pool season will start on 24 june, which was strange, as other hotel we stayed in Foz had already swimming pool open, please check before booking.

KazakhstanBreakfast was very basic and lacked variety. That said, I was quite disappointed with the breakfast. It was very limited in terms of variety, and I expected something more substantial, especially for a hotel of this level. It wasn’t terrible, just very basic.
Good hotel overall, convenient location, decent comfort for the area. I stayed in this hotel for three nights while visiting Gijón, and overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The location is convenient, the hotel is generally comfortable, and I don’t think I would’ve found anything much better in this region for the same price.

United StatesAlthough I slept well, I had to go to the earplugs. Noise in the hallway, doors closing, it resonated. The hotel is on the opposite side of town from the old center, so location was a bit of an issue. Way overpriced breakfast.
I arrived quite early (1030 ) and was given a room right away. Clean and comfortable. Professional staff. Everything necessary( restaurants, market, coffee ) was nearby. Attractive, safe neighborhood, waterfront promenade and park just out the door.

RussiaThe room was a little bit disappointing for the price I paid - dark, small sized, the lamp near bed was broken, the shower had mold.
Breakfast is wonderful, staff and service at the breakfast very good, quite good coffee at the breakfast. The location of the hotel is just 10-15 minutes walk to the city center and right next to big parking. Overall it's OK for quick stop (1-2 days) to enjoy wonderful Gijon and this region.
