How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It's all a little tired maybe, but I can't imagine anyone choosing this location for a romantic break or a holiday, so clean and functional is the standard to judge it by.
A 1960/70's hotel typical of many towns in Spain, and a functional choice for anyone staying in the town on a budget - not really in the centre but not too far to walk either.

Very easy location by car, for us to explore neighboring area north of Madrid its a grat location. parking is easy on street right in front of hotel, free in the weekend since 2pm (reception staff is so helpful to suggest this to us so we dont have to pay fir the cost of parking 7 euros). room is moderate and sufficient for two people traveling like us. Recommend!

No fridge in the rooms, no tea/coffee making facilities, the air con was BARELY working, and I had to move the bed directly underneath it to get any benefit from it. It also switched off for a few hours each morning while I was trying to work from my room.
Room and location were okay, and the staff were friendly and well spoken. Even the night guy spoke reasonable English

Perhaps little more choice of snacks in hotel bar.
Excellent choice at breakfast both not and cold,secure parking, close to local bars and restaurants friend my staff a perfect stopping point to and from ferry.

I thought it would be in the country. The area appeared to be an outer suburb of Madrid
Quiet and convenient stop off on our journey. We were able to park our car securely. Reasonably priced

The walls were paper thin, we could hear our neighbour's bowel movements during the night and those returning late, as people do in Spain, made a right racket.
Filling breakfast, the staff were friendly and very helpful pervading excellent tips on the best restaurants.

Feel the light system in the bedroom was really poor, with no adequate lighting in the middle of the room or for the desk area. Though there were plenty of power points, we did have to stoop to find and use these! That is, far too low and 'hidden'.
The main staff we came across were pleasant and accommodating, especially at the reception desk and at the hotel café/ bar. Our room was good overall and the bed very comfortable. There were some pleasant general, social areas in the hotel. Overall the hotel had a slightly older-fashioned style, which we enjoyed. The location was good in enabling us to easily get a bus into Madrid.

option of hot breakfast

The breakfast seems to mainly be organized for groups of bus tourists. If you're not part of one of these groups, it's hard to tell the protocol. The food is fine but nothing special.
Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The multilingual staff is very professional, yet welcoming and helpful. Extra points for the large, soft and highly absorbant bath towels.
