United StatesCheck-in process via video camera at the front door was totally bizarre. When they let us in remotely, the door wouldn’t open so we had to get another guest to let us in. We never saw a staff person physically there - everyone was based in a call center somewhere else. Room was fine. Quite spartan even for a 2-star. Bathroom had some mold and mildew.

AustraliaOur key card didn't work to get back in the building or our room. It took over an hour to get help to get access.
Fantastic location and wonderful historic building, with tasteful quality renovations. Very friendly and helpful staff at check in. We had a room with a skylight window which was very spacious and bright. The bed was very comfortable with good quality linen and there was plenty of room for our luggage. The ensuite was a good size and had good water pressure. Best of all, we could use the outdoor seating area to eat food we bought in, with views of the marina and river.

United StatesCheck in was not as smooth as I wished. I booked a three day stay and arrived late at night. I checked in, via the screen based host (who was kind) but then I needed to pay for the second and third nights before getting my room. It was late, I was exhausted, my bags were heavy and payment buried at the bottom of a pack. It would have been more hospitable to allow payment in the morning with personnel in person. It was, that day, a breaking point. Weary walkers…
This location cannot be rivaled. My room overlooked the marina, the showers were great, staff was friendly and the bed was cozy.

United KingdomThin walls, and we unfortunately had noisy neighbours. Odd mix of towels including one microfibre towel which didn't dry. Strange checkin arrangement for arrival after 3pm, so we arrived earlier as otherwise we'd have had to telephone, and we don't speak Spanish. We also tried to email them but got no reply. Basically it's only staffed early in the day. Also it was some distance from the bus and rail stations; we were aware of that and decided it was a worthwhile trade-off for the estuary location.
Huge, rather plain room, with lovely view over the estuary from two windows. Quite a good choice at breakfast, considering what we'd paid for it, and the size of the hotel. Very close to useful, free public lift which goes up to the higher level of the town. Lift in hotel (but steps up to entrance due to position set into hillside).

South KoreaThere were a couple of indications that the bathroom may have gotten a less thorough cleaning than would be ideal: nothing too alarming, but small details that distracted from the stay as a whole.
Well located on El Camino del Norte, with a wide array of reataurants within easy walking distance. Staff was polite, helpful, and efficient, and in general I found it worth the price.

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location overlooking the little harbour and the estuary. Value is excellent. We had the breakfast which was very good quality and value. The room was very comfortable, overlooking the harbour and estuary. There is free parking across the road. Ribadeo is a lovely little town with some interesting features and nearby natural sights in a very pretty part of Spain. Staff were very helpful and friendly. This was our second visit and if anything, this was better than last year.
