How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only small complaint is sometimes the loud noise of cars from the street, sometimes street cleaners, cars honking at the intersection, for apartments facing the street, but not every day. Maybe in the future a little work could be done on the insulation of the walls facing the street.
Good location, friendly staff, you have everything you need in the apartment, lot of restaurants around, walking few minutes to the Beach, walking few minutes to Old Town. Sincere, friendly cleaners who sincerely wish you good morning in Spanish.

If you are waiting for the only complaint i had, it is that i could not stay longer!! LOL.
Jose the host is very helpful, turn right from hotel 5 min to great beach and the best promenade you could wish for!! turn left from hotel 5 min to the heart of town and the best shopping!! this hotel is also one of the safest I have stayed in! keypad entrance only,no strange public walking in and out! which is very important for female traveler's and seniors .I found the room clean and the bed was great for a change! bathroom spotless, air-con was very useful, found the room very quiet. all in all, think this is the best value hotel in town!!

At our second to last day during our stay the water went out. However the staff was extremely attentive and helpful on getting it to work when needed.
I loved how it was conveniently located by restaurants, bars, and the beach. You could find almost anything nearby!

The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, but everything else was great.
The room was excellent for the price. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the beach, and there are plenty of restaurants and small shops nearby where you can buy snacks, water, and other essentials. Jose is such a kind and welcoming person! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Location was super for the beach and old town. It was very reasonably priced. The owner couldn’t do enough. He was so helpful.

There were a couple of things I didn’t like however so minimal and unimportant to mention
Location Location Location 10/10. Close to everything !! 5 min walk to their BoardWalk/Paseo Marítimo , 10 min walk to Old Town, 10 minutes ride to Perto Banus. Super Safe . Adorable hotel. Family owned. Could not ask for more.

Often disappointed when it’s fully-booked, but that’s really not surprising.
It was a joy to stay here again with Jose and his family. We had a few small favours to ask (delivery etc) and Jose was super helpful.

Hotel Finlandia is in a fabulous location, five minutes walk from the promenade and beach in one direction and Orange Square and Old town in opposite direction. The facilities at the hotel were perfect for me.

The only thing the room was missing was a fridge.
