Everything. Staff exceptionally welcoming and helpful. On arrival they gave us a map of the city with all the places of in teresa, restaurants, tapas bars that they recommended, i.e. ones they used. As for restaurants, totally spoilt. Even right outside the main door. Cadiz is a lively city, with the hotel right in the heart the hustle and bustle is amazing. With all this liveliness around once in ones room there was zero street noise. Magic place, magic hotel

It excelled at every level. The kindness of the staff, the perfect location in heart of old Cadiz, the super comfy mattress and excellent shower, the character and charm of the building, the wonderful patio to relax after a day’s sightseeing. Jaime cannot do enough to help his guests. (He even hand colours maps with restaurant suggestions! ) provides cold water, there is even towels and chairs available to guests to go on the beach. This little hotel is a gem ! We loved our stay

Sadly there as some renovation work was being done. Very noisy work and workers who worked from 8.30 and all through siesta time!!! Almost unheard of in Spain! Not the fault of the staff

The only thing I didn’t like… was leaving 🥲

Staying at Dormir en Cádiz was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was spotless — the attention to cleanliness and detail was beyond impressive. The room was not only extremely comfortable but also beautifully thought-out; from storage solutions to lighting and layout, every little detail was designed with care and comfort in mind. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. Pablo, who runs the place, is an extraordinary person. Incredibly hardworking, attentive, and thoughtful — thanks to him, I felt safe, welcomed, and completely looked after. Every day, I discovered something new with his guidance. From local eateries to hidden spots, I got to experience Cádiz like a true local. The food, the drinks, the vibes — simply unforgettable! The hostel owner, Jaime, is also amazing — generous with his time, smile and knowledge, always eager to share stories and recommendations that enriched my experience. When it came to beach days, both Pablo and Jaime went above and beyond. They offered everything I could possibly need — a towel, cold water (even frozen bottles for the heat!), a beach chair, umbrella, sunscreen, and after-sun. I’d just grab my “beach kit” and go. It felt luxurious, effortless, and thoughtful all at once. Belen, who takes care of the rooms, greeted me with a warm smile every day. Even if you don’t speak the same language, she makes communication easy with her kindness and energy. I truly loved every minute of my stay. The people, the atmosphere, the comfort — it was all perfect. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making my time in Cádiz so special!

This is a wonderful hotel. We are on a month-long trip and this has been our most favorite place so far. Great location near the beach and plenty of places to eat, clean and comfortable room, and wonderful staff.

at the indoor market we were ignored completely when waiting to be serviced evening when I said hello how are you in Spanish the waiter served all the Spanish who sat after us ..we left and same thing happened in the next bar..being a resident in spain made me very sad to think tourists are treated like this

There was nothing we didn’t like. Our hosts Pablo & Jaime were fabulous providing information about cafes and places to visit.

The location as it puts you right in the heart of Cádiz, a 10 minute walk to the harbour . The area was peaceful & our stay was very relaxing. We had an excellent taverna on our doorstep, the food was exceptional.

Delighted with the location, and the 2 members of staff were SO friendly and helpful. Accommodation very clean. Possibly a bit "tired" furniture in the room, but not an issue. We parked at a nearby recommended outdoor car park, €15 /24hrs, and under 5 min walk to the hotel from there.

Had a wonderful stay at Dormir en Cadiz! The room was small, but very well equipped and clean. It was a very welcoming environment and very cozy and well decorated. The staff is absolutely lovely—very responsive, helpful, kind, thoughtful and generous. Jaime and Pablo are the best, and gave excellent recommendations (including a personalized map). Highly recommend!

A well located hotel within easy reach of Caleta Beach and some very good restaurants and tapas bars. The hotel has been well renovated and is tastefully decorated. The host was most welcoming and very informative about local points of interest. There is an enclosed patio for quiet relaxation. The room was quite small but made the best use of the limited space and offered personal touches that made it feel very homely. It was a quiet, relaxing space in the heart of the city.

It can get very humid in this building, depending on the season.

Felt really welcome at this place. Pablo is a fantastic host/manager and makes sure you have everything you need - he's super friendly, attentive and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Location is great. Would stay again.
