The access is not appropriate for vans, so we had to carry our luggage from far away. The bed sheets weren't changed since last customers. There was no shower gel in the bath or enough toilet paper. The view from some rooms are for small and ugly interior patio. It was very, very hot and no AC. Breakfast is served at the reception, while customers are coming in and out.

The location is close to the city centre, allowing us to go for a beautiful walk after dinner.

The room was very small; hardly enough room to open a suitcase. Electrical work in the room needed attention and there was a small patch of black mould on the ceiling.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and kindly found a place to store my bike. The hotel is well placed in Potes - close enough to the main attractions but in a quiet spot.

It was hard to open/close the door which made a lot of noise, the bed was pretty bad as I woke up with back pain, also didn't sleep well because the bed was squeaking with every tiny move, walls are so thin you could hear the people next door talk, take a shower, ...

The hotel felt fairly fashioned and all a bit ‘tired’ and drab There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and no air conditioning . The bathroom fittings (shower particularly) again were very old fashioned. It would be good nowadays to have USB sockets. Internally there was very little sound insulation and jangling door keys from other guests could clearly be heard

The breakfast was quite basic and although it was mostly processed food it was good to have some fresh bread and fruit. The bed was comfortable.

The hotel overall needs some renovation. In my room a bedside lamp was completely broken, a tile in the bathroom was cracked. Shutters should be cleaned or changed. It is not written that the spa costs 15€ per person, which is okay but it should be clearly written.

The staff is very kind and ready to answer all questions. The room was clean and the location is perfect.

Booked through booking.com but the booking had not gone through to the hotel, fortunately a room was available but we needed to wait for it to be cleaned, also booked twin but given double so 1 had to sleep on a sofa.

I had to issue a hotel complaint due to an item left in the room and that one staff member took. Despite 2 separate visits post check out to the hotel, and issuing a complaint the hotel has not yet returned this item to my home address.

We had a message to say no receptionist on duty after 4pm and there would be a key left for us on the desk, with our names on it. We arrived at 5.30pm and nothing had been left for us. We had no idea what to do. No emergency contact number. Eventually we had to lean around the desk to help ourselves to a room key and go around the hotel to see which room was made up and which was empty. No apology from the receptionist the next day. Very disappointing.
