How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. I think you do get what you pay for, and we settled for one of the cheaper places in the area. I don't like to complain when I'm not spending much, but if you want a nicer place with a nice view, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're looking for an easy place to sleep with kind service, then go for it! It's a few minutes walk away from the beach and the main town where all the night life is happening.
I love that when I told them my boyfriend and I were traveling together and asked if they could make it special for us, they absolutely did! They had rose petals and candles leading from the front door to the bed, which had a heart shaped rose petal set up on top. It was super sweet and the woman at the front was very kind when checking us in, as well as being very responsive when we had questions.

The bathroom is a bit small, and it looks like there is a humidity problem in the room as the paint was failing off. We didn't have any problem with it
The air conditioning and the bed were exactly what we needed after a whole day out at the beach. It is super center close to the beach and restaurants.

Only thing that they don’t replenish soap and don’t replace sheets, eventhough they clean the room and take trash everyday.
It delivered everything they promised, it’s right in the center of beautiful Cola’dor, very close to best beaches. Stuff is lovely and helpful. In general its clean. Don’t expect much else then good location and clean room from a 1 star hostal and all delivered.

The location of the hotel was spectacular. The owner Elena is always smiling and helpful. The furniture in the room was a bit old, but the air conditioning and refrigerator worked very well. The insulation was very good, the noise of the Cala D’or evenings could not be heard at all. The towels were clean, there were hangers. As soon as you leave the hotel, there is a place on the left that sells Marabans coffee. Their coffee is also very good. I recommend it. Thank you for everything. If I come again, I will stay here again.

Its not a noisy hotel, but it has Weak main door sound insulation. (Some rubber bands in de spaces will solve the problem).
Location is very good, in the center (restaurants, bars, car parking, nice cala 1 min walking); comfortable bed.

The walls are very thin and quite noisy when other travellers are not considering others.
Fantastic location for the beach the restaurants and for the shops. Helpful staff, and I love that there is a little basket of things to reuse in reception. Beach things etc. A bookcase too to swap your books.

the showers flooded a bit with water so that was not great, but minor point for all the positives!
great location, in the heart of Colo d'Or. the host was very helpful. our flight was delayed and she stayed till very late that night to let us in. she was so helpful. room was exactly what you need - clean, comfortable and neat. aircon was lovely. a great stay.

The bedding wasn't the cleanest.
The hostel is in the center of a town and very close to the beach. The rooms are cleaned every day, which is highly commendable. Also, the woman at the reception is very friendly. Even before my arrival, she explained which transportation options would be the easiest for me to get to the city.

Only negativ is the bed, it wasnt comfortable at all, in the end, everyones back was in pain. But maybe it just us, maybe for someone else is good!
Perfect location. Perfect place. Warm water, and tv, every day cleaning. Host is perfect, nice , helpfull. REcommended. terrace is superB! no street voice at all!
