We didn't dine at the property as there was only a set menu offered and you had to let them know in advance. There was a real sense of pared down staff and a multitude of text messages regarding dining, menu and doing an automatic check in. It was borderline annoying. The setting for the dining area is gorgeous but I got the feeling that it is only used for special events, which is a shame.

The setting is beautiful, the back deck is lovely for an evening drink, the river and the lagoon behind the property is beautiful, and the pool terrific. We loved how isolated it is and yet how close to Ronda at only 15 mins by car.

There was a large group celebrating with a dinner function during our stay - they were very noisy and I don’t think this kind of event is compatible with the small, quiet retreat that the property offers. We found it very intrusive and were disappointed with that aspect.

Views over the mountains were wonderful, the bed was comfortable, the outdoor lounge area was beautiful and the service was very kind.

Stunning location, next to the Cueva del Gato and nestled overlooking the hills. Perfectly located for hiking, exploring the Pueblos Blancos or just relaxing by the pool. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Really appreciated the wine in our room and local produce at breakfast.

The hotel was beautiful, cosy an quiet. The mattresses were excellent. When we came back from a hike our room was heated for us. The staff was Super friendly and although we were the only guest they prepared us delicious food and have us a lot of recommendations for our further travel.

Nothing! Just be aware that you need 1€ in total to getting to the property by car as there is a barrier on top of the road for the cave parking – but you get the amount back from the property :)

We loved everything – the many animals (three sweet dogs, one affectionate cat, a donkey(!), chickens and geese), the beautiful place itself, the fantastic breakfast and lovely details. The communication was great, fast and very helpful. We cannot recommend enough to stay here and enjoy this wonderful place. There is an amazing nature pool (icecold) and waterfall by the nearby closed cave.

Maybe the meals were a little overpriced but they were delicious and we were treated like royalty.

Hotel set in amazing location. Very peaceful. The pool was perfect for relaxing after a walk by the river. Staff was just so friendly. Liked the digital access. No problems communications with staff. Really enjoyed all the animals, dogs, at, ducks, donkeys. Dogs are Mastiffs so very large but amazingly gentle.

The set menu seemed like a great idea for the day of arrival but it was overpriced for what it turned out to be. For €60 p/p without drink we thought of a gourmet experience. It was tasty but def not special. With one staff doing all the waiting and cooking is probably a bit over ambitious. Then we didn’t realise we’d be hearing the train (infrequently) thundering past at such close proximity. But you get used to it.

The virtual key to check-in didn't work which made the arrival a bit stressful but someone was around to help us into our room.

Gorgeous location, lovely property and room was great, very clean and comfortable with nice little touches. Great pool and loved being able to walk through the garden. Great to be able to walk out along the river and to the cave. Local restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was amazing!

The only thing was the check in process - it felt like a hassle to be honest. We arrived after 5 pm after we booked the place last minute. There was nobody there to even let us in the parking space. We did receive an email asking us to check in online - we filled out the information they asked for but didn't receive explanation on how to enter the parking and how to enter the room. Another guest who was there opened the parking gate for us. Eventually after talking to Vanessa on the phone she sent an employee who let us in the room and all was good. Another thing is that after we checked in we didn't receive the code for the parking gate, so when we came back late at night we couldn't open the gate (but we called Vanessa and she helped us...it was after 10 pm and I was surprised she even answered, so really great service! But it would be better to give the code when the guest checks in).

The location was beautiful, in the middle of nature - nothing better than to have a morning walk and find out there's a small lake and a cave you can walk into, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was special, with products they make in the farm. Vanessa was very kind to us and helped with recommendations for Ronda and where to park the car while there. The beds were comfortable and the shower was warm and nice. Everything was clean and there was a calm atmosphere.

The scenery around the hotel was breath taking. The land, vines etc constantly being worked on. Loved this place, is it for everyone. I’m not sure, but the simplicity and being left alone was perfect for me. The staff, animals were great also. Extremely friendly. The hotel isn’t modern luxury, it’s rustic Andalusian.

I liked everything, I cannot think of any negatives.

I loved that it was tranquil and their animals were able to roam freely - their chickens, dogs and cat. All beautiful and made my day. It was a lovely, hot day and one of the dog was chilling, but as i decided to walk into their lush plot of home grown vegetables, she got up and gave me a tour and I obligingly followed. I want to thank the chefs for making my dinner and breakfast, and I must say, what a wonderful meal! Totally fit for a queen!!!!! I even got to see the proprietor and his beautiful family. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I will be back for sure.

We arrived at 4pm received our check in information in Spanish and so had to phone for help as we couldn’t access the property - self check in. The room, honesty bar and gate access had to be down loaded onto our phone via WhatsApp and we had no wifi only 3G.
