Elevator not working.Very narrow single bed.,2 euros for 1.,5 l of water. Wifi connection not consistent had to keep signing in and signal fair.

Cafe on the main floor with delicious food at very reasonable price. Well heated.

This property is on the outskirts of Burgos in the university district. Very easy access with car, and street parking immediately outside. It is a pleasant and shaded 25 minute walk into the city, partially along a river. I believe there are buses if required. The rooms are accessed through the bar and restaurant below, but we were not affected by noise. They are very basic, small rooms, but clean and had everything we required for a one night stay.

Staff were friendly, hotel is next door to University of Burgos campus, and the bar downstairs serves good coffee. Hotel was bike friendly too. Hotel is an easy 2km cycle into the centre of town. Plenty of parking at the University.

Wanted a meal - asked for the chicken and chips option - told it would be two hours so had to have a very enjoyable toasted sandwich. No actual breakfast - only very limited options in the bar.

Excellent room and welcome . Lovely bar, easy parking close to hotel.

The shower did not close and there was mold around bottom of shower, the shower head had mold on it as well. The curtain in the window was broken and would not go up. It was very noisy starting at 4:45 am and continued on and off. Price was too much.

We thought we were getting a double bed, but ended up with two singles. No washing facilities at the venue so we had to find a laundromat. We didn't see any staff as our room had a virtual entry/key so any time we had a question, we had to email the Help desk. It wasn't very customer focused. We ran out of hot water, tried to let someone know, but couldn't complain to anyone as it was all through email. Room was very small and had no other facilities in it. Eg: kettle, fridge etc. Our room was also very noisy as there was a motor running constantly throughout the night. The only good thing about it was the location.

The wifi stopped working after a few hours and never worked again the rest of my stay. Really glad i wasn't needing to work. The website mentions laundry- but there is none on the property. The closest laundry is in another hotel just across the patio area, but it was closed every single time i checked it two days. Hours say "10-2" but there is never anyone there. Ended up having to walk 1.5 miles to do my laundry. Room was okay, but the bar made it very loud at night and in the mornings. Found a few bugs on the ground.

Connected to a bar and restaurant- absolutely loved the sweet bartender lady who checked me in. Didn't speak any english but was still happy to answer all my questions as best she could.

I had a wonderful time and my overall stay at the Hotel Cuéntame was excellent The staff was helpful at all times, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the location was just in the area of the University of Burgos buildings. Special thanks go to Lurdes and Jason. 😊

Made a reservation, called to inform that I would arrive after midnight. This was not posibile and also I wouldn't get a refund. Very rude, also of course (Spain) the receptionist/barman didn't speak English. I let my wife call back cause she speaks native Spanish. Again the same story, the guy even hung up the phone. Ended up staying in France before the border where late check-ins are normal. Just install a keybox with pin so people can get the key, it's not that difficult.
