I do not leave reviews often and they are usually negative From the owner picking us up after we had broken down to helping arrange taxis and numerous other things this hotel and owner rescued our holiday It is like heaven on earth if you want peace and tranquility with help on hand this is the place to stay Just 15 minutes from the stunning town of Robda

This is a beautiful family run establishment about 12 kms out of Ronda. The distance highlights that you need a car, but it is extremely worthwhile. It's an easy 10 minute drive to Ronda on a very scenic good main road. Located in a peaceful location surrounded by lovely farmland, the beautiful residence is over 200 years old. The gardens are gorgeous, the pool is refreshing in the heat & and the owner & staff are very welcoming. We spent 3 wonderful days here exploring Ronda & the spectacular local area of the Serrania de Ronda.....believe me there is more to see in this area than just Ronda. Breakfast was plentiful; the eggs were always very freshly cooked & lots of other local delicacies to enjoy. There was no TV in our room, which didn't bother us in the least as we were out until late most nights or just enjoyed sitting outside talking & listening to the distant bells on the nearby animals. Internet was super fast as well & our car was always parked in the shade. We just loved staying here.

Absolutely beautiful newly refurbished countryhouse close to Ronda. The staff is super friendly and we had great conversations with the owner. Add to this the pool and the beautiful garden. We had a fantastic stay

The hotel is a renovated farmhouse with a great pool, lovely courtyards and gardens. It's located in a peaceful rural location but still very close to Ronda. The room was beautiful, spacious, very comfortable and had a beautiful views of the countryside. Also great breakfast! The owner was very friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants, where to visit and nice drives. The best place we stayed at on our trip to Andalusia. Highly recommend!

What a tranquil, beautiful hotel! The location was so beautiful, in nature, so peaceful, with beautifully maintained gardens. The rooms were very comfortable, the pool was so refreshing, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were incredibly sweet - all within 15 minutes of Ronda! We would definitely stay here again

We loved the hotel. If you love nature and. Quite restful location this is the best. Coming next time we would use this hotel to travel to all places but always. Come back to sleep here. Such great it is.

Pool was too cold for us even in May and we’d prefer tea and coffee making facilities in the room rather than having to go to the main dining room.

A true Andalusian home where you can feel the full flavor of the journey and truly understand how beautifully the locals live. A very convenient location from which you can reach all other parts of Andalusia. I would definitely recommend choosing this hotel as a base and taking day trips from here. The hotel has everything you need. Breakfast is made with local products. There’s even a small shop—so when you return in the evening after your travels, you can buy local delicacies at very low prices, slice them up, heat them if needed, and enjoy a luxurious dinner in the garden. There’s a beautiful swimming pool open 24/7, with stunning views of the mountains. You can swim, nap, or read a book. Hiking trails are nearby. It's peaceful and quiet, yet everything is close by. We also saw couples with children, and everything was well-suited for them too — it’s clearly a place where both adults and kids can feel comfortable and welcome. The hosts have maps, advice, and can even help plan your travel itinerary. They’re always nearby if you need anything. I am truly happy.

Wonderful facilities: hats, binoculars, lots of books that can be borrowed. Honesty bar/fridge with everything available to prepare your own meals. Excellent old farm buildings in open nature with lots of bird song. Easy to find and quick access to Ronda by car. Proactive guidance on local activities.

Nothing. It was a little hard to find restaurants that were open in some small towns near here.

I really loved staying at Cortijo las piletas. Elly was a great host and is really interesting to talk to. The room was great, the common living area was large and comfortable, the pool was open even though it was still pretty cold, the garden is lovely. this area is really spectacular, some of the drives we did from here were amazing, and there is a lot to see and do in this area. I wish I had been here longer. The special dinner was very good.

Beautiful place, so many lovely aspects to our stay. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Pool looked splendid but it was sadly too cold to swim. Will have to go back in the summer. Lots of places to sit in the gardens. Large cosy sitting room with log fire. Lovely atmosphere with Honesty bar and food counter. We felt too tired to drive to a restaurant last night so tried the various dishes that you could microwave and eat in their pretty dining room, together with a half bottle of cold wine. Thoroughly recommend this charming and peaceful hotel

Everything was perfect for us.

For us the location of the hotel was perfect for walks and exploring the surrounding area. Our host was very welcoming and looked after us very well. Other staff was also friendly and polite. Hotel was lovely and we liked the comfortable sitting area with fire and lots of books and games. Our room was good size and had a little terrace looking over garden and onwards to fields. Hotel has a pool which was well maintained but we did not try it as it was still very cold. We had our breakfast in the hotel and it was worth it for a good start for the day. The honesty bar system was also good and convenient way to get that late drink or snack. Well worth of attending were the hotel dinners by visiting chef, which I think is a new thing for the hotel. The two 4 course dinners we enjoyed during our stay were excellent. The cooking was really high standard and all the dishes we had tasted wonderful. Food was made using local products which was a plus for us.

We loved the rural location and the attention to detail. It was so peaceful we hated to leave. The property was so lovely and comfortable. The proprietor gave so much useful information about the area.

Great renovated farm with lots of different places to sit and hang out. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We followed their travel suggestions and explored local towns. Pool was beautiful, breakfast was varied and perfect pre hike/explore meal. Would highly recommend ! And also it was great to be away from the loads of tourists in Rondo.
