This place surprised on the upside. It is a simple 2 star hotel with limited facilities, but the place was spotlessly clean, comfy bed, fridge in room, and monsoon shower. Some careful interior design choices and the movie themed decor really lifts it up a notch and makes it a fun stay.

It was incredibly cheap and I wasn't expecting much. I couldn't have been more wrong. The hotel was great. Staff was very accommodating. The hotel was located close to most of the things I wanted to see. You can't go wrong with this place. And the price was so inexpensive.

Only improvement for us would be to provide tea/coffee making facilities (e.g. kettle, couple of cups, spoons, etc)

Stayed here one night in mid May. Hotel and rooms themed from the movies; extremely well done! We had the 'Tom Cruise Mission Impossible' themed room which had a mini fridge but no tea/coffee making. Had in room safe. Open wardrobe with space for clothes and shelves. Luggage rack. Power points near bedhead on both sides. Under a large wall mounted flat screen TV was a large benchtop which we discovered was a fold out single bed (we didn't need but it could be handy for friends or a couple with a child, etc). Modern bathroom. Free internet worked well. Air con worked well. No parking at hotel but is a great underground, multi-level parking garage only about 30 to 50m at most from hotel (just down from it) - is called Parking Cervantes. Was €11 for 24 hrs for our large motorcycle. Staff were super helpful and friendly, both before we arrived with explaining parking, walking to sites, etc, as well as when we were there (e.g they let us know we could pull up on sidewalk in front of hotel to unload motorcycle, then minded our gear in lobby whilst we parked the bike.

We liked everything.

The film related decoration in the common areas and bedrooms was fantastic and so well done. Even in the car park we were in Batman’s spot! Daniella on reception was very friendly and gave us useful information and excellent recommendations. Within walking distance of everything.

Excellent funky boutique hotel in heart of beautiful Merida. Stayed there twice and would again. Reception a delightful friendly and efficient welcome. Individual rooms all themed after an individual film director and their films. Decor to match superb. Clean comfortable and excellent value. Nearby secure parking excellent.

I feel that the TVs are a really good size although only downfall in my opinion is that they were not smart TV's and was abit disappointed as we was inspired to stay in the room and watch a movie, and was kind of limited to what was on live TV, would be cool if you could even rent DVDs or something like this since the TVs ain't smart TVs, but apart from that was a great hotel!

There are extensive roadworks going on in the area which meant you could only access the hotel in one direction. It was hard to find. The Carpark is down the road so it’s a long way to carry your cases.

A quirky place that is really well done. Ideal for anyone who loves the classic films. I loved the reception was like a cinema lobby. It’s well thought out. Clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming. The area itself is central and very lovely. Felt safe.
