How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Felt kind of overpacked. It could be much more spacious. And the A/C was next to my bed. The A/C was automatic so you couldn't set the right temperature.
Location and price were beyond my expectations. Definitely value for money stay at the city centre. Everything is nearby and it is the right spot to start exploring Valencia. Plenty of landmarks, spots and shops nearby.

The room was on the smaller side but did the job.
The hostel is in a really good location in the old town, close to everything with a supermarket about 2 mins away. We stayed in a private room - it was clean and we were given new towels each day. The AC was good.

The room for 8 people was really tiny and almost claustrophobic given how many people were there. I’d put 4 people at most in that space. Also the bathroom floor was always wet.
The location is great and there’s a cafe in the lobby. They have great coffee and pastries. The staff is super nice and helpful! I felt safe in the hostel. There’s an elevator and each bed has its own curtain and light. You also get a towel and a lock for your locker.

The four-person room felt a bit cramped, with limited space for packing and unpacking. I found the air conditioning system inconvenient, as it was controlled via WhatsApp from the lobby, and it would have been better to have personal control. Additionally, the common area was heavily used and often dirty, which detracted from the overall atmosphere.
The hostel was was in a prime location in the city center, which made exploring easy and convenient. The friendly staff were a highlight, always ready to assist and make guests feel welcome. I also loved the comfy beds, which provided a great night's sleep after a day of sightseeing.

The sofa bed was incredibly hard and my son ended up sleeping in bed with me 🤪 Also the pillows were not comfortable but that is always personal preference!

The room... i was feeling in a bunker. Dark at night. Really short space in between beds. Actually no space... Just right at side I had another person Breakfast was the worst I saw in all Room00 I stayed in. Really poor I prefer go outside for something to eat.
Staff is really friendly a ready to help always. They are awezome

Everything was great. While i was worried to be in a 15 beds room, the room was divided into two with two doors which made it easier and less bothering at night. Everything was clean. Friendly and kind staff

Bathrooms in the room were very dirty everytime I arrived to the accomodation. Breakfast costs 5 euros and you get a coffee and one piece of pastry from local coffee shop.
The accommodation is in historical part of the city surrounded by many cafeterías and bars. Check-in was very easy, the reception works 24/7, which was a luck, because for the last night our card stopped working and the receptionist had to validate our stay again. Beds are comfortable with room AC working well.

There was no soap or shampoo left, it was crowded, and it wasn't so clean but it was clean enough

The bathroom should be clean more frequently
It’s a good place for few days, it’s near to bus station, we can go by walking in ciudad velha. People there are amazing too. The girl from the front desk is very nice.

Very small locker space, we stayed in room 001 and there was water damage to the wall from the ensuite causing mould and wet smell through the whole room. I would recommend requesting to not stay in room 001

The room (9 bed) felt a little cramped.
The properties location was perfect, in walking distance to most of the attractions and public transport options if going further afield. Communal area small but enough. Was clean. Good value for money.
