Beautiful property. Well located for easy exploration of Cantabria. Owners are amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Staff was wonderful as well. Breakfast was varied and delicious with gluten free options. Our dog had a wonderful time as well. Highly recommend!

Nothing!!!

Had a wonderful few days at Casona Las Cinco Calderas. The breakfasts were wonderful, more like afternoon tea and very well presented. Nothing was too much trouble. The honesty bar was a reflection of our thoughtful hosts. The setting was so tranquil. Perfect for a few days rest. The field for the dog to run around in was an added bonus as was Minnie’s welcome back. The decor was very tasteful and freshly painted.

Beautiful rural setting but close to town. Breakfast was amazing! The room was very comfortable and the bed was bliss to sleep on. Loved the lounge area and honestly bar as well.

The property is very beautiful. Beautifully landscaped, very nice and relaxed vibe. The whole design of the hotel is very inviting. The staff is very friendly, the rooms a re cute and the breakfast in the sun outside was just perfect.

The property has a lot of charm and has been well maintained inside and out The decor is gorgeous, with a beautiful relaxing lounge area for drinks. Evening snack/food is available which was very welcome after our long drive. High quality local food has been sourced and provided. The gardens are beautiful. We received a warm welcome and the hosts catered for our requirements. We stayed in the garden room which was spacious and quiet and had a great spa bath. The bed was very large and quite firm

Rotating evening menu more selection would have been nice

Really liked the location and peaceful setting. The staff were super friendly and helpful with good local recommendations. Breakfast was great and well organised evening meal was also nice. honesty bar was a nice touch avoided waiting to be served very relaxed.

Excellent boutique hotel with great access to Santander, local beaches, beach towns and within 1hr to Bilbao. Great design of this hotel in a historic building. Very friendly and professional staff. Very clean and fantastic grounds. Also very pet-friendly that even includes a separate area with separate towels to wash and dry your four-legged friends!

Only a small issue - softer pillow. If a pool were to be installed, this hotel would be perfect.

Nothing. It was perfect.

The inn was absolutely stunning. Completely upgraded and redecorated within the last year by the current owners. The design finishes were impeccable and the common areas on the main floor and the bucolic setting were lovely. The entire experience was peaceful and restful. The honor bar was a nice touch as was offering dinner on site. Our room was large and easily accommodated 3. The breakfast was a notch above the standard hotel breakfast. The owners were attentive and let us check into our room early so that I had time for a nap. Best accommodation yet on the Camino.

Accommodation in a quiet location, in a historic house. Equipment and overall concept in a modern style with an emphasis on detail and coziness. Very nice owners with love for their mission. Breakfast was served using local suppliers. We appreciate the possibility of accommodation with a dog and the possibility of using outdoor spaces. Own free parking lot in the area.

As it was Sunday, I needed to hurry to check in by 3pm.

We were walking the Camino del Norte and found the decoration and garden to be the most beautiful so far. the reception was very attentive and kind.

The steps were unexpectedly uneven in height causing me to trip. A pedestrian crossing nearby would be helpful as we were following the Camino and had to cross the main road on a curve that was made maintaining visibility difficult.

The food was excellent and well served by helpful staff. The building has been sympathetically renovated and is well maintained.

The dining room lighting could have been a bit softer in the evening (candles would look lovely) but this is a very minor point.

This is a really beautiful place. Set in lovely gardens, immaculately renovated and furnished. Staff are welcoming and helpful. We didn’t want to leave!

Very peaceful, clean and a large room

We enjoyed the rural environment, quiet and fresh air. The room was large, with a nice sitting area and large bathroom with bath, shower and bidet. The gardens surrounding were lush, tranquil and with some seating. The breakfasts were self-choose from an extensive menu. The beach de Galizano was family friendly, easy to reach and good parking.

If I had to say something, the creaking floors. During summer I’d probably have added that you can hear everything that people in the same floor as you does from your room.

Noisy water flow from neighbouring rooms.

We stayed there for 6 days and we had a very god time. Communication with personel was little bit challenging but entertaining. We used Spanglish and we got everything we wanted. The staff was amazing, polite and very helpful. The owner is the star and she can tell you a lot of about the place and surrounding. We highly recommend.
