The walls are very thin and you hear like every step and every word of your neighbours. The ‘restaurant’ was more like a snack bar with burnt deep frozen pizza in the menu. Everything was there from a cheap supermarket, precooked. It was the worst food I have ever had in my plate in my entire life. After such a dinner we cancelled the breakfast. I was too risky.

7€ for breakfast was a bit much since it is not an all you can eat buffet. Please note that rooms are not equiped with refrigerators and are really meant just to shower and sleep . But all this can be easily solved, so I would book here again.

Great surroundings, a truly magical place with the most beautiful peace of land. The people were welcoming as they were a family to all the guests. They were outstanding in their hospitality and were aleays trying to do their best. The only issue - english language - was easily solved with use of translator apps on phone. The restaurant is perfect for a quick meal. The location is 15-20min to airport, yet still quiet. You can get to highway in matter of minutes and reach the Santander really fast. Shops and gas stations are also in a 10min radius, as is the Cabarceno park. There is always parking space. You can always make an arrangement to get your clothes washed for free. I got a feeling that everything is a matter of "ask us and we will provide somehow, even if we don't specifically list it".

The only very little issue was the lack of food variety. There was nothing vegan, and they had to specifically accommodate for lactose intolerance.

The place is absolutely beautiful. We got an "upgrade" to stay in the tower, but we had reserved a newer room. So, it wasn't what we wanted and expected, but the experience of sleeping in the old tower compensated for it.

Friendly place to stay in a rural area outside of Santander. They provide us with access to their garage to store our bicycles overnight. Perfect for an overnight stay before getting the ferry back to the UK. It would have been nice to have stayed longer to explore the area.

Magical. We always make this one of our stop ivers. Such a beautiful Casona gardens set in this gorgeous valley next to the pond. The owner couldn't be more helpful. Recommended

We have stayed several times. Luis and his wife are very friendly. There used to be an on site restaurant that was run separate to the hotel. That has closed and now luis's wife cooks dinner and breakfast for you. It's very good home cooking. The hotel is an old 13th century manor house set in wonderful gardens. There are a few bars and restaurants 10 mins walk down the road.

This property is delightful! Both Louis and Fatima went above and beyond to make sure that we were made welcomed and looked after. I can honestly say that we have never stayed anywhere where we have been better cared for! We would travel out of our way to stay here again!!

This place is just magical, stunning and comfortable. Our room was in the actual tower (family room) and it was just amazing, like belonging to the medieval times and the view couldn't be better. I had the opportunity to get to know the history of this house and its ancestors.... The whole experience was just perfect.

No English spoken whatsoever, which is fine for some .the room was cold but we asked for the heating and it was done .no hot drink facilities and nowhere to buy some .

The property is in a very beautiful area and on a dry day would be wonderful . The garden was really pretty even on a rainy day .

The restaurant and bar was not open but a perfectly good restaurant close by. As a constructive suggestion to the very nice owner, some water & coffee making facilities in our room would have been appreciated in light of the closed bar & restaurant. We would stay again.

We missed air-conditioning as it was quite hot and humid.

Absolutely stunning location in beautiful surroundings. The host is very friendly and welcoming and explained to us the interesting history of the place. The attached restaurant was fully booked and we realised why after we had a fantastic meal in the evening. Wonderful experience on our way from Spain to France, I only wish we'd stayed longer.
