Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainNothing, a perfect stay.
Easily the most beautiful place we stayed on the Camino. Lots of small touches like fruit and cookies in the apartment when we arrived. Close walk to the beach. Super friendly hosts, clean and very, very comfy beds and a sweet little terrace to sit on.

From the moment I walked in. The owner was so personable and was so happy to meet me. Treated me like family. Showed me the room and the outside facilities, made a couple restaurant recommendations which was just on point. I will come back here if I ever do the Camino Fisterra again.

CanadaThis is an absolutely superb, clean and gorgeous inn with a big, soft and comfortable bed. What a wonderful change from a dorm bed. I stayed here for 2 nights (had a Rest Day) and enjoyed the restaurants in town and the wonderful Lires Beach.

United StatesNothing I can think of!
We loved our stay at this charming, family-owned inn. It is a lovely and lovingly restored 18th century stone house with all the amenities and all the charm! The host is also wonderful—was there to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. It is also right on the Camino de Santiago, which was perfect for us.

United KingdomThere was not a single thing I did not like about this place, it was just AMAZING!
This was my absolute favourite place to stay on our 7 day trip walking the Camino! Lires is a small village so I did not expect that I would love this place the most. Our host, the owner - Rosalìa was just wonderful! She was friendly, helpful and welcoming after a long walk. The property is full of character, beautifully maintained and very homely. The thick walls made the rooms lovely and cool and they even had mosquito nets on the windows which was lovely during the night. This was the best night sleep I had that whole week and the breakfast they provided was just brilliant. The homemade cake was to die for! Rosalìa told us a bit about the history of the property as it has been a family run business dating back years. I would strongly recommend staying to anyone doing the camino. There was also an excellent restaurant in walking distance called the LiresCa restaurant which was recommended by Rosalìa so make sure you try the food there also.

United KingdomFantastic stay whilst walking the camino, lovely comfortable beds and very quiet. There are a few places to eat in the village and a bar down by the beach which is worth the walk. Casa Rual serves breakfast if you request it with the lady checking you in, other than that there are places in the village who do breakfast

United StatesProbably the most interesting, unique, and special place of our 35 days of walking the Camino. Water, chocolate, coffee with little muffins were provided. We had the large downstairs unit with living room and fireplace. Bed was very comfortable. Heaters worked. E had plenty of hot water and water pressure. It’s a great location right on the Camino walking into town from Finesterre. We easily walked to the beach and restaurants. Upstairs units, which we saw and were so nice, have great views with balconies. A lovely lady runs the place. We had a day pack transported. Upon receipt at our next location I felt the top of the pack was puffy. I pulled out a shirt and wondered who it belonged to. My husband announced it was his smart wool top. He didn’t know he left it behind and was so grateful that our host had found it and slipped it into the top compartment before Correos pick up. It was great that she found it early and made sure we got it.

LuxembourgThat we just stayed one night!
We stopped in Casa Raúl while walking the Camino to Muxía. Our room was really beautiful, perfectly equipped and so nicely decorated. We even had a small balcony with lounge chairs! Rosalía was a perfect host, really nice and friendly: she explained us where we could have lunch and dinner, where to walk on the nearby beach and after breakfast she even gave us a small bag with apples and cakes for our walk. And Lires is beautiful...

Very nice old building, very well appointed with everything we needed. A comfortable sitting room and bedroom. The house is in a quiet village with 3 or 4 restaurants/bars. Nice views of the coast. Our hostess was very welcoming and friendly, she could not have been more helpful. The house is on the Camino de Santiago route. So lots of walkers in the village.

GermanyThe room was warm, dry and cozy after we had a long walk in the rain. We came and our clothes were wet, and our hostess helped us try them and made us very comfortable. We ate at a very nice restaurant in the town which is very sweet by the way and it was easy leaving and entering the town from the Camino.
