It was a walk (with our luggage ) down a steep path from the main village car park However we knew this is advance and it did not spoil our stay at all

Everything about the property was wonderful . It was an excellent base for our walking holiday. Comfortable, authentical & unique . We all loved the terrace and amazing views . The complimentary toiletries & drinks were wonderful and much appreciated

This village is excellent for toning your leg and backside muscles. If walking steep sections and stairs is not your thing, consider staying somewhere else!

The view from the accommodation (every single window!) was terrific - breakfast and happy hour on the deck was memorable and stunning. Inside, the place was warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had all we needed. A beautiful village and some lovely walks. This place has definitely been a highlight of our visit to Spain.

Beautiful historic home with superb views and difficult access

The trek to and from the car park - and the other parts of the village - is very long and steep. It is very difficult with luggage or groceries This is not because the house is poorly located - it's just how Capiliera is laid out. Largely pedestrian and with a real difference in altitude between the top and bottom of the village. This is part of its charm. But I would not recommend the property for anyone with mobility challenges.

Superb private terrace with a lovely long ranging valley and mountain view. Very well appointed accommodation in traditional style but with many home comforts and conveniences, I.e. a fully functional kitchen, large towels, comfortable beds. Manager very helpful with providing! information about the area.

Fabulous cottage with stunning views of the Poquero gorge from the terrace. Very clean, well equipped and cosy. Quiet location but just 2 mins from the centre.

    Beautiful, but difficult access
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children

From parking (public) to the house the path is all stairs and very steep slopes. IMPORTANT for those traveling with elderly people or babies, It's not accessible with carts, suitcases, or for people with mobility difficulties. You have to go around 5 to 10 minutes for very difficult access. Inside the house, first plant is fine, but the one in the basement has a very long hallway with steps. The beds are comfortable, but the double beds are 135 cm wide, which is too small for two adults.

The house maintains its original structure and is well preserved.

Great place, pity about the bath

Our only criticism was that there was a hole in the bath of the upstairs en suite. We noticed this when the bath water was going down and soon realised that the water from the hole was draining into the downstairs bathroom which was now flooded. We highlighted to the managing agency as it had clearly not just happened but had been getting worse over time. We were told that a plumber would attend after we left but any future occupants will need to check that this has been fixed!

The casa is in a quiet area of the village but within east walking distance of all restaurants supermarket etc. it was really cosy and well equipped in the kitchen. It has a lovely terrace overlooking the valley and the en suite bathroom next to the master bedroom was useful.

Property and location were excellent. Would have been helpful to have received details on location of the property much sooner and a much better map and directions would have been helpful. The property itself was great.
