We did have an extra bit of admin to do when we got there that doubled up on what we had already done but that is about it.

Superb place to stay. Modesta was a great host. This place is a class above all other places we have stayed on our Camino. The dinner was of a very high quality and Modesta made sure we weren't leaving hungry with generous servings. The place contains everything you need and I would highly recommend staying here on your Camino journey or as a weekend away. If you are going to treat yourself, this is the place to do it.

Nothing - everything was fabulous.

This property is amazing - everything is brand new and in pristine condition. It was a really peaceful and beautiful place to stay whilst walking on the Camino. It’s right on the Camino just as you come into the little village of Fonfría. The views are to die for ! The lady who greeted us was such a lovely person and went out of her way to look after us. We had a lovely lunch here and they have a beautiful lounge area to sit and relax in with a glass of vino. They have self service laundry facilities and we also availed of a delicious communal meal. I recommend the homemade cakes - delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

I cannot say enough about this establishment. It was so clean! Modesta, the owner was so kind and patient with me. She allowed me to practice my Spanish and when I wasn’t understanding or vice versa we used Google translate. She showed me my room and I felt so at home. It felt good. You can feel how much love she put into renovating it. I didn’t feel well. I planned to go to the pilgrims Mass but I wasn't feeling well. She canceled my scheduled taxi and still allowed me to eat earlier. This was not a problem for her. I had a massive bowl of the best soup I’d had on the Camino. It was so flavorful. This is definitely homemade and made with love. Then big plate of salad and then the main course. I could not eat dessert. Breakfast was another beautiful spread of food which kept me full well into lunch. I will stay here again!! Thank you Modesta!

We were a little warm during the night but we were experiencing some exceptionally hot weather at the time.

The hostess was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The building was very light and clean with a communal area with books and games. The room was very quiet during the night, even with the windows open

Everything about Casa Galego is perfect! I was able to do laundry here. They have washing machines and dryers. The community dinner was fantastic! They made sure there were options for people with different dietary preferences. Definitely recommend staying here. Also it’s right along the Camino.

Everything was perfect!

So very clean and lovely esthetics. Very modern and new. The host was very helpful and even though we had a language barrier she made sure I understood using a translator APP. We had the evening Pilgrim Dinner and it was delicious! Probably the best dinner on our Camino!

This purpose built Casa is impeccably clean and comfortable. It has a modern decor so if you are tired of 300 year old rooms with windows that don’t open…this is a great choice for modern comforts. There is a dedicated washer/dryer room along with the basin for handwashing and a large clothesline out back. Lots of sun in the July afternoon. The property also has a bar and does serve meals to residents for an additional fee. The meal we had was Galician soup, salad, French fries, pot roast, wine and tarta de Santiago. Breakfast also optional and decent Buffett choices. Very nice owner but she needs more staff at dinner to help her.

Lovely modern small hotel, very clean and with friendly staff who were very patient with my limited Spanish. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, although options are slightly limited if there are not many people staying. A beautiful view from the dining area. I would definitely stay here again.

Treated like royalty, the lady in charge was 100% the best we have come across on the Camino. The communal meal was restaurant quality. I’ve torn my calf muscle and needed a taxi, everything was arranged for me by the hosts and taxi arrived on time. Rooms were great and brand new

Molina, one of the owners, was the kindest, most generous human being. The whole space was beautiful and clean and had everything a pilgrim on the Camino needed. The view was so lovely. The pilgrim’s meal was one of the very best I’ve had and the vegetable sandwich I had at lunch was delicious and huge.

The check-in lady (Modesta) was very nice, friendly and always ready to help. She does everything in the hostal : check-in, cooking, the cafeteria, helping with information. The hostal itself is modern with enough comfort. There is a great terrace with a beautiful view but unfortunately we could't enjoy it because it was raining and very windy.

The location was ideal and in such a quaint town. The communal meal was a treat! We were served Galician soup, roasted chicken, salad and a delicious Galician torte dessert. It was one of my favorite meals while on the Camino.

The place is new, super clean, and the host was the sweetest lady who made sure all our needs were met. Her dinner and breakfast were the most delicious, and we felt at home and well taken care of. Laundry was a breeze with washing machines and dryers.
