The decorations of the room could be a little more in tune with the "old house" vibe.

Nice little hotel. A couple of blocks from the castle. Quiet and clean. It is really worth the money.

Lovely historic central location, close to hiking routes. The hotel itself and rooms were charming and well outfitted. The service was friendly, warm and helpful. Excellent value.

They do not have a restaurant on site - but have an arrangement with one 30 yards away. This is presented so matter-of-factually that it feels as though they are one and the same place.

The hotel is more like a boutique hotel. All details are well taken care of. We were given an ample attic room, that was very comfortable, with all amenities well working. The room was crystal clear, breakfast is served in the bar nearby, and is quite good and fulfilling (with excellent home made bica). Easy parking around. There's a wonderful common area with sofa and armchairs at first floor, and paintings hanging from the walls are so artistic, we loved every moment of our stay. The staff is extremely welcoming, little English spoken though. Would recommend this hotel hands down.

We heard conversations from other guests late at night. While not loud, they made it through the walls.

The hotel is comfortable, clean and right in the middle of the pretty town, a couple of minutes walk to the castle.

I would have liked to have been able to make a hot drink, but these were available in a nearby bar anyway.

Although our room was under the roof and quite hot when we arrived, the air conditioning worked well and the room soon became a pleasant temperature in which it was easy to sleep. The shower had good water pressure and the temperature was easy to adjust. Breakfast was provided at a café 50yards away. It was simple but very pleasant.

The smiling welcome from the staff at reception. The cosy attic bedroom is spotlessly clean and comfortable, with air con. Secure parking for our motorcycle. The location, in the centre of the town, with all is activity to observe from the cafe. Everything in the hotel is spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served in the cafe across the square, which is part of the hotel, and the friendly staff there make you feel very welcome. Very highly recommended accommodation.

    Not much to complain about.

This is a small rural hotel very well situated to visit the "Ribera Sacra". The rooms are comfortable and the personnel is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is in a cafeteria in front (belonging to the same people). The toasts with oil and tomato and the bica are very good.

The brick walls and full window gave a lot of character to the place, the bathroom was huge, the wood floors made the place very homely. Staff were exceptionally lovely, they had a free room and upgraded us, in reception they sell lots of local food and souvenirs. It was a very pleasant stay.

Shower cubicle door was broken. Beware of attic rooms in the height of summer. They will be extremely hot, it was warm in the middle of June even with Aircon.

Nice small quiet hotel used as a convenient stop-over after a day exploring the Sil Canyons as part of a longer tour before heading down to Salamanca. Not much to see in Caldelas and very limited eating options, especially on a Sunday. However it served its purpose admirably.

The hotel doesn't have a dining room and there aren't many places to choose from for an evening meal. We ate at Casa Rural Pousada Vicente Risco which I can recommend.

This is a charming small hotel right in the centre of town. The staff were really friendly and allowed us to park our motorcycles in their garage without charge. Our rooms were nicely decorated in a modern style and immaculately clean. The breakfast was included and was provided in a cafe across the square. Lots of choice and very good coffee. Definitely first choice if I'm ever in the area again.
