Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainOnly one air con unit in the living room, so to cool down the bedrooms you leave the bedroom doors open. Could do with a few kitchen essentials being left in the property, like coffee/tea/sugar/salt and pepper etc
Excellent and modern apartment in a nice quiet spot. Easy to walk to everything . Super clean, nicely equipped kitchen

IrelandThe only complaint I can make is that the light over the mirror in the bathroom had the strip bulb replaced with a tiny yellow bulb, which wasn't perfect for three ladies and also a bad genetic skin condition that requires good lighting to apply cream properly. One area of improvement could be a 'smart' tv that enables 'mirroring' from a smartphone or tablet, and apps to allow login to netflix etc.. but we can't complain, kids were entertained a couple of evenings by some of the trashy american reality shows on Dmax
Apartment is in a great location, Poble Sec.. leafy streets going up a hill, right next to montjiuc park. Many tapas bars and a real sense of community and safety, which was important to us with two teens and a pre-teen. Just a few mins walk to paral-lel with it's metro stations, extensive bus services that bring you almost wherever you wish to go, and also a funicular that brings you to the park swimming pool & muro museum if you don't fancy the steep hillwalk in the blazing hot sun.

SerbiaThe isolation of the apartment is very bad. It is impossible to sleep peacefully because you can hear the voices of people from the corridor of the building and from the street.

ChinaThe hotel price goes up during Mobile World Congress but it's Okay. All the hotels go up. The bed is a little bit small but still Okay.
Nice and clean aprtment in very good location in Barcelona. 15 minutes walk to all the beautiful places like the port and shopping district. The room has everything you need like the kitchen, even the iron You can find everything nearby, the supermarket, the bars, and nice restaurants. Olga Guaita is very helpful and she will contact you before you arrive to make sure everything goes smoothly and after you check-in, she won't bother you. Wash machine is available on the ground floor, just buy the powder.

United StatesOnly tow complaint: first was that the apparent has no dressing mirror at any room, except for the one in the bathroom. Second complaint was the elevator was too slow, it take to long to take us up to the fourth floor.
Clean, neat, modern and spacious with an elegant kitchen that has everything you need. Check in was easy.

LatviaThe apartment needs some refreshing, you can see that it has been worn a bit. The light in main room is bright and not cosy, there is only 1 mirror (in bathroom), second bedroom is lacking reading lights (by the bedside). Could be nice to have in kitchen some coffee capsules, sugar and tea for the first day. The walls are thin, I could loudly hear neighbors. No wine glasses, dull knives. For the price I would expect a bit more better conveniences.
The location is very good, 2 metro stations are near (7 minute walk), in the area many restaurants, bars and grocery shops, very convenient. Seemed to be safe area, near Montjuic mountain, not a far walk from Columbus monument and Marina (20 minute walk). Comfortable beds, good shower.

United KingdomThe apartment doesn’t have enough mirrors. There are no mirrors in the bedrooms just one in the bathroom. The host/staff was very kind to bring a mirror from her house as I requested for another mirror. We appreciated that a lot, but suggest that a small mirror be added above the desk or somewhere. There isn’t a extractor fan in the bathroom but there is a window you can open that’s between bathroom and utility room. The lift is very slow, it’s quicker to take the stairs. The walls could do with a lick of paint. But the rest of the apartment was very clean. Location was really good. Everything nearby. Our overall stay was very good. We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Codina. I would definitely recommend. Nice quiet location.
The apartment was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the location was great.

SpainLighting: The lamps are too cool (over 4000K), making the space feel like an office. Warmer, more comfortable lighting would be better. There’s only one aircon unit in the living room for the entire apartment. The fridge is a bit too noisy. Better English proficiency from the meeting person would be appreciated.
Good location with nearby food and bars. Soundproof windows. Comfortable beds. Fairly spacious and clean. Equipped kitchen with crockery. Beddings, towels, and wardrobes with hangers provided.

SerbiaThe only issue was the fact that it is a ground floor meaning that windows can be opened only around 20 cm for safety reasons. It also added to the noise at night but my daughter and I did not have a problem.
Our flight was delayed but we communicated with the host via WhatsApp and they made sure to meet us and provide us with the codes and relevant information. 25 eur extra fee applied but it is understandable. The Internet required daily login but was of good quality. The location is great - we wanted to be near the Gothic quarter, and it is well connected to wherever we needed to go. We took a cab from the airport due to flight delays but the trip to and from is quite straightforward. Lots of grocery shops around, as well as restaurants.
