The shortest route to the property was down/up a VERY steep narrow road.... (but you could go the other / longer way around).

The evening meal and breakfasts on the terrace, overlooking the pool/garden and amazing views, was delicious. Pepe doesn't speak much English, but this wasn't really an obstacle - we communicated well together. He was very kind and considerate with the children. Very special place to stay, we would return if in the area. House and grounds were very clean.

Amazing place, beautiful and rustic vibe, with beautiful view. Close to Caldarias de Lobios. Pepe was super nice, we did a very late check-in and he helped carrying our bags. In the morning he prepared one of the best breakfasts, including a good iberic ham and home made croissant!!

The car access to the house is not for the faint of heart - very narrow path. Unfortunately the pool was not available, probably because it was still May, even if the weather was warm. Separate beds in the room joined together is not as good as a twin sized bed. But these are minor complaints, would stay again.

Mr. Pepe is a great host, very courteous. The house is great with lots of character, in a very quiet secluded place with a great view. The breakfast was awesome, particularly the croissants and the orange juice.

Place was great.. lovely views...a great place to get away from it all. A bit tricky to get to, but it felt like a treasure hunt when you got there...amazing! We showed up too early, but the owner was very kind and sorted us out. Very nice breakfast. Character property... beautiful stone building with views. Lovely remote location.

Wonderful night here! Incredible views tucked away in a quiet mountain setting. We couldn’t recommend this enough and would love to return. Pepe the host is extremely attentive and helpful and cooked us a delicious meal alongside local wine, would highly recommend this option if he offers to prepare food for you.

We loved everything about our stay. The house is wonderful, our room was amazing, and Pepe was a fabulous host. Everything was immaculately clean, and our room was spacious, warm, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with homemade Bica, the biggest tastiest croissants we've ever seen, local honey, a great selection of cold meat and cheese all washed down with great coffee and orange juice. We had dinner on one of the nights, and we would recommend it to anyone....it was truly scrumy and served with local wine. Pepe truly cares about your stay and treated us so warmly. We will definitely be treating ourselves to a stay here again.

The room looked bigger from the photos, but nothing that detracted from our stay. The pillow wasn't high enough, but Mr. Pepe soon provided us with another one when I asked. The road is quite narrow, but paved, and nothing out of the ordinary for anyone who has visited other historic villages in Portugal and Spain.

Exceptional service from Mr. Pepe, who was always very concerned about our well-being and comfort. Breakfast and dinner were spectacular! Mr. Pepe makes a point of preparing food typical of the region, and is happy to explain the local culture. It's delicious, there's a good amount of it and you can eat to your heart's content. The house isn't very big, but it's very comfortable, with central heating and a fireplace in the living room. The area itself is isolated and you can hear the noise of the river. I think it was the best experience I've ever had in a country house, and definitely the best typical Spanish dinner I've ever had.

Everything is amazing!!! Sr Pepe is the best property manager person, very polite, attentive and he gives the best tips from the region to visit. And he cooks as well, the breakfast is delicious. The place is gorgeous with a wonderful view.

Best breakfast in Spain!!! Pepe is THE KINDEST man you will ever meet. He went overboard to make sure that we were happy and had everything we needed. He even paid special attention to our daughter Daisy and brought her extra treats! We arrived late and tired and he offered us a bottle of wine and chairs at the pool just to relax. The property is beautiful, you can tell Pepe and his family take pride in everything they do. Even the small town is beautiful like a postcard and perfect for a short walk. We would highly recommend everything about this place and we'll miss it very much! Thank you Pepe!

We loved the location. The view on the mountains was simply breathtaking. Pepe was also an amazing host, very welcoming and considerate. We asked if we could have supper at the Casa when we arrived, and not only was Pepe super accommodating, considering our request was last minute, but the dinner he prepared for us was delicious.
