Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Nicely decorated house with a garden in front where guests can sit. Our room and the bathroom were big. There is a shared fully equipped kitchen to prepare your breakfast (or dinner). Each room has a compartment in the fridge. Everything is very clean and well maintained. We felt very comfortable and regretted that we only stayed one night.

SingaporeWould be great if there could be a small trash can in the room and in the kitchen. I didn’t discard food waste in the trash bin at the dining room as instructed but I noticed there was food waste in it when I opened it. It was a slight inconvenience to have to walk out to the road to discard items. There’s no WiFi in the dining room area, only in the bedrooms.
Large bedroom, clean bathroom, great view of the mountains in the shared room

The 3-level house, designed for 5 tenants, is clean, nicely decorated, has enough space for everyone, in a quiet area, with parking in front of the house, in a public place. We stayed in two rooms, one larger, with a double bed and private bathroom, and the other just a room, a smaller bed, I think 140 cm wide. Both have comfortable beds and pillows. The rustic style of the rooms is specific to mountainous areas. I liked that it has enough sockets and a lamp that can be adjusted on each side. The linen, clean towels, and there is also shampoo and shower gel. In the kitchen, everything you need for cooking, and each shelf in the refrigerator is numbered for each room. The host was responsive and answered any question, including tourism-related ones. I also liked a shelf with books and an album about the area, the comfortable sofas inside, and the sun loungers with a mountain view outside. If I take each compartment, I can write a story. The host is really good.

Lovely garden, access to a kitchen and an easy walk into town. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable common areas. Lots of windows allow the air to flow and give a view of the mountains. Very helpful and communicative. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful house with many rooms. I enjoyed getting to know the other guests, mainly consisting of older couples also looking to hike the Picos' The bed was comfy and the room had plenty of natural light. The kitchen was decently provisioned and the outdoor table was a nice place to relax.

New ZealandWe had the best time in Casa Arenas, great comfort and facilities amongst stunning scenery. We paid little extra and got a room with private bathroom. We had great sleeps in this peaceful town and woke up each morning to the mountains out our window. We met some great people in the shared kitchen and garden. We strongly recommend staying here and will do so ourselves if we ever pass through again.

It was in a good location with free street parking nearby and an excellent little cafe round the corner for breakfast and a little kitchenette to prepare your own food if you preferred. Great and comfy base to explore e.g the Ruta de Cares. The room was very tastefully decorated, cosy, quiet and clean. Reception was unmanned but clear instructions were given for access etc.

SwedenWe could hear a bit of sound from outside when people were in the garden or kitchen, but as the street outside the house is very quite, it did not disturb us very much.
It was a well located house, with a very pretty garden. The common places were clean, and the room had all necessary facilities.

New ZealandDue to it being an older building the wooden floors were a little creaky, carpet would make the rooms cosier.
Casa Arenas was set just above the town and was seriously gorgeous. It would be stunning in summer (we went at the end of Oct). The staff were so welcoming, but gave us plenty of privacy, ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed - and sharing details of places to eat. The fire was always on in the little common area/entry and a kettle with all warm beverages required - breakfast is an option they offer. The oil wall heaters were on timers, so our room was snug too. It appeared to be recently given an interiors update, nice curtains, and bedding details.

CanadaCasa Arenas was so charming and peaceful, located in a picturesque small town in the mountains. The breakfast we ordered was delicious and filling. The owner very welcoming and kind. As we were leaving, we misjudged the angle of the road and were stuck on a low stone wall, he and several neighbours came to tow us and get the car back on safe footing right away. Very grateful for the kindness they extended to us in that moment! Highly recommend staying here.

The apartment had a perfection location. Only a 5minutes-walk to all the nice restaurants and bars in Arenas. And a 10minutes-walk to the busstation from where you can travel to Poncebos and start hiking the Ruta del Cares or take the Funiculare to Bulnes. The room was clean, comfortable (only the beds were a little short for us tall Dutchies :)) and we enjoyed the super nice garden and the view on the Picos. Good and kind host. We would come back! Thank you!

LatviaLoved our stay! Everything was great! The room was beautiful, quiet, clean, welcoming! Beautiful view from the window. Bed was very comfortable. The staff at the check-in was friendly and nice, he didn’t speak English but he used translator and with tiny Spanish we understood the necessities. The location also was great, few minutes off the main road, so was little less busy although we were staying at the end of season. Also reachable by public transport! Definitely recommend!

DenmarkWe hit a heat wave while in Las Arenas, it was not too common there but we were dreaming for a ceiling fan or a normal fan during the night to cool down a bit.
Fantastic place, calm and quiet 2 min walking away from the center of the village with many bars and restaurants. Most helpful staff and very comfortable garden to enjoy. And also very very fair price even in high season.
