How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Pool was closed. But everything else was perfect!
Check in was easy and quick. Very friendly staff, who spoke enough English to make it easy for us. The room is very nice, light and clean. Very good bed. Beautiful garden. Sadly the pool was closed. Breakfast was more than enough for us. Parking is free in the streets.

There was nowhere to get a drink or anything to eat when we arrived after a 2 hour drive! Not even water!The bar didn't open untill 20:00 and there were no shops or bars nearby. Not even a vending machine. The dining room was very cold and draughty. Everyone was eating in their coats. I was worried I was going to catch a cold, as I was shivering at one point. I mentioned it to the staff but no one took any notice. We had full board: The food wasn't great. We were sorry we'd eaten in.
Friendly welcome. Comfy bed.

The air conditioner was very noisy. Unfortunately the pool was closed which wasn’t clear when we booked.
A lovely relaxed and friendly stay. The room was comfortable. The bed was pretty good. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the hotel grounds were peaceful. A short walk to the beach and pretty convenient to the ferry to Cadiz.

That I had to book a room with a balcony and pay extra around 30 euros to check-in with my little dog. Even after the approval of the standard room by the hosts. Breakfast is very simple, but could have just boiled eggs, because only bread with ham and cheese is not enough.
The rooms are very simple, but clean and bright. The territory is green with a lot of trees, which makes it looks cozy.

Too noisy at certain times (children with their families). There was not much shadow zones/ umbrellas enough in the swimming pool.

Everything was fine
I liked the location. Staff were nice, friendly. I especially thank the waiter/receptionist he was very helpful and kind although I was a bit rude the first day I arrived. Sorry.

Room needs some restoration (a window was not closing, it was difficult to flush the toilet). Breakfast is very basic (no eggs included).

The facilities seems to be quite vintage, which doesn't bother me, but some of them are basically malfunctioning. For example, that thing that allows you to change the water flow of the shower could end up in your hand, if you try to use it.
That was a nice experience. Quite an interesting hotel with some greenery and a pool. I quite liked the restaurant area and especially the outside (terraza) - there is enough of shade to enjoy your drink in a quite place. And I think this is the most definitive characteristic of the hotel - if you are looking for super relaxing stay away from the buzz, definitely give it a try. The location further helps in that regard - there are not too many things to do around, which in that case could be a good thing. There are few restaurants though where you can try something different than what the hotel offers and a hiking area within a kilometer. Other than that maybe you can grab a book and enjoy a relaxing day around the pool? Oh, yes, I forgot to mention - the staff is amazing and super friendly.

One of the rooms we stayed in was over the kitchen freezer and the motor kept us up all night. Room number 108. We requested a change for next night and they kindly agreed and moved us to a different one. They rooms new some upkeep and screens for mosquitos which did not have and we were dealing with several and big ones at night as well. The buffet breakfast could use better quality ingredients and add some eggs.
The staff, location and common business area and some of the sandwiches from the restaurant.

On arrival it smelt nice but in the morning I woke up to a strong bad smell from the toilet, I had to open up the windows which helped a little, I think the sewage systems need a lot more maintenance. Apart from that the room was clean and tidy.
