For those with a sense of adventure, a love of nature - hiking, the ocean, the birds etc, this spot is an oasis. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was ample, and tasty - with a mix of classic and creative dishes. We loved the half board option. Here you can buy a bottle of wine and they will keep what you don't drink for you for the next day. The hiking in the area is wonderful with blooming roses, lavender and other flowers along the path in April when we went, and though a bit cold for the pool when we were there it was perfect for hiking. The reviews for this hotel are very mixed because the road in, the isolation, and the wifi that didn't extend everywhere on the grounds are not for everyone. For instance if you drive in in a car that sits very low with low profile tires you are going to be unhappy. If you are there to surf on your phone you will be disappointed. But if you go for the reprieve from ordinary life and put the phone down, you will find yourself not wanting to leave this little piece of paradise.

Stunning location. Gorgeous food. Great eco credentials. Bit of a challenge to get there but completely worth it when you do. The receptionist Roxane was particularly delightful and helpful. She gave me loads of wonderful tips of what to see in the area. Wonderful.

The drive to the property was very difficult with unmade roads and steep cliffs . Musty smell in the bathroom .

Explained that we lost our first day there because of the inadequate directions from booking.com....had to pay for two long distance phone calls to helpful property personnel -- very stressful and wasted our time instead of taking photos for our global articles... thank you, Anna and Lola. Michael also pleasant in warning us about flood...we were grateful to get out but "act of God" again stressful.

Lovely setting...cordial staff, including Anna and Lola who was charming. Very difficult to find!! Not in Roses but in Joncols!! (Lousy directions from booking.com...arrived after dark which was disappointing...had to call and stop several times so lost a half day as travel writers-photograohers.) job) Grounds are gorgeous! We enjoyed sea view and walk to beach. Didn't mean to check "upgrade" offer and tried to cancel but apparently too late so felt we paid too much. Also credit card was discharged for full amount twice (Anna made a credit so I will check visa card.) Breakfast was delightful with exemplary service from Lola!

Per Google Maps we tried to drive over the road from Cadaques but there was a locked gate. Same when Google sent us through the Parq but again a locked gate. Even though the website says to come through Roses, it should say it is the ONLY way.

Rooms are quite small and there were a smell of garbage at the beach and beach bar when we were there.

It is a little bit difficult to reach the place and you need to do a 20 minutes route along a dirt road. The restaurant is good but a little bit expensive.

The hotel is completely surrendered by nature, it is perfect to relax. The staff was very kind and the room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good and intercontinental. They offer a lot of experiences. I recommend the diving baptize, the teacher was very professional and it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

The bathroom had no ventilation and became damp very quickly. The tap water is non potable. The bottled water provided tastes of bromide which is not nice.

It was a great experience far away from everything. Perfect for really coming to rest and enjoying the flavours and colours of an idyllic bay with great snorkelling opportunities. The staff was super friendly, in particular Zuriko en Catalina, who made our stay even more pleasant. Apart from the views also the food is absolutely wonderful (my wife is a cook and she was stunned). Would definitely recommend!
