Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe only minor note is for the furniture inside the bungalows, which is a bit dated, but hardly worth mentioning, to be honest.
This was my second visit to Los Almendros. The location is excellent: in front of the Cita Shopping Centre, so you have supermarkets, a nice german bakery, a couple of cafes to have lunch at; the beach with the dunes is very easy to reach walking; walking distance (less than 15 minutes) from Yumbo center, so it's good at the evening, but far from the noisy clubs. The staff is amazing, from the guys at the bar, the person at the reception (fun and very helpful), to the cleaning staff, they'll very nice. If you have an issue, they'll fix it very quickly (minor issue with the soap dispenser, was fixed right the next morning). The pool and the Jacuzzi are both super relaxing, people are friendly and all the bungalows have a lovely (fake grass) garden in front of them, where you can take it easy and have breakfast or something to eat at night. The day of the checkout, we were welcome to stay longer by the pool, which is also nice.

ItalyDefinitely not an important thing for me, but maybe the furniture inside the bungalows shows a little bit the signs of time.
First and foremost: the staff is great. Always nice and helpful. You feel constantly embraced by their hospitality. There was a minor issue in my bungalow, and it was fixed in great time. Also the cleaning ladies were always so kind and cheerful. The Jacuzzi and the pool are very relaxing, and the way their layout in the resort makes it easy to meet new friends. The fact that the whole resort is clothing optional is also very relaxing and informal. The position is great: walking distance (~15 minutes) from Yumbo shopping center, and right in front of the Cita shopping center. Very easy and pleasant walk to get to the dunes.

DenmarkWhen I had to leave the place, he stood and looked at me suspiciously and asked where I had hidden the bedspread. I said it was gone the other day when I came back from the beach. I left with the strange feeling that he didn't believe me. It would have been somewhat easier if they had already asked the day after when it was gone

United KingdomThe wifi - as a lot of places in the Canaries, the wifi was appalling and needs sorting. We all play on our phones and the cutting out, slow speeds isn't acceptable in this day and age. I used my roaming data for the whole week instead of the hotel wifi.
Loved the place, nice and quiet, excellent staff, cleaned well. Everyone is lovely there, from check in, the staff, the stay - just wonderful. We'll be back.

ArubaThat we stayed too short!
For my birthday in March we flew from Aruba to Gran Canaria, this was our first time in GC. We stayed at Los Almendros and we had a wonderful time. The bungalows with private terrace, are completely up to date, everything was spotless clean and the property looked very neat. The staff was very friendly, we had rented a car, but we did not need it, everything is within easy walking distance, opposite Cita and Yumbo less than 10 minutes walk, close to the dunes. All kinds of good restaurants in the area. But also at Los Almendros itself you can have a good lunch and delicious drinks. We are already planning to come back in November, this time for a longer holiday. sunny greetings Auke & Mike

United KingdomWas a building site whilst we were there. €160 per night in a quiet season! Was asked to move bungalows 2 days in for the benefit of the hotel not ours. They revamped the one we were staying in and put us in a worse one, but they said it was an upgrade as it’s pool side. Kitchen facilities in bungalow basic and well warn Music around the pool was terrible. Air-con in bungalow was useless Shower drain kept flooding the shower room Pool bar closed by 7 and overpriced. Stayed here the beginning of December, not one Christmas light, not even an illuminated palm tree! just no life here, a very basic vibe. Average age of guests 60
Location, one of the closest to the beach Sun beds reasonably comfy Beds in accommodation vary? Depends which bungalow you’re in. Bungalows painted in a nice colour, cactus landscaping is nice.
