Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe equipment in the bungalows could have been slightly better – no bowls, no fans. But it's geared mainly towards Spanish holidaymakers' requirements, so maybe this isn't unusual. Only other issue was the booking.com website. If only they didn't have such a monopoly everywhere, booking holidays would be much more enjoyable.
This is a really nice place to stay, very friendly and helpful staff, very geared to families and with a nice, affordable restaurant onsite. There's a lovely beach a few minutes away and numerous others if you're willing to walk slightly further, or drive a short distance. There are a few other good eating options in the vicinity and plenty more in the next town along, Liencres.

United KingdomThe accommodation is a bit basic, but at the price we paid was exceptional value.
The value for money was exceptional, cost just over €10 per person per night in a 4 berth cabin. The restaurant at night offered a wide selection of meals & there were breakfast offerings also. Makes an ideal bolt hole for touring the region.

AustraliaVery quiet camp grounds with a fantastic well priced bar, restaurant, Cafe attached. It's a short walk to the swimming beach, and close to the cliff top walk. Our studio cabin was very clean and comfortable, with a small kitchen and good sized bathroom. There is enough storage space for your luggage and a little outdoor area.

United KingdomWe were a bit cold as heating didn't come on until 7pm. Unable to cook either. Cooking implements inadequate. Nothing to wash up with so bring that. Good food available in the bar. Step in bath and shower. Overall I would use again bringing what was needed.

United KingdomNothing really - a means of lighting the stovetop would have been helpful but a box of matches won’t break the bank!
Initially we opted for a room in the hotel but then saw that the cabins were only a small amount more so we switched - right choice! Exceptional value, clean, simply furnished but perfectly adequate, a reasonable amount of space, away from the bar so quite quiet, all bedding etc provided, set up for basic self catering, heating, small veranda with table and chairs provided, stood up well to the severe storm we encountered, we could park our motorcycle right outside without obstructing or disturbing anyone, the busy bar/restaurant was very good value and a very short walk away, a convenient distance from the ferry port - glad we discovered the place, we would stay again for a night if it fitted in with our plans.

UkraineIt's always strange when there is no dishwashing liquid or hand soap. Uncomfortable one shared pillow for two. We waited a long time to check out, because it was not at the reception, but at the bar in the cafe and priority was given to people having breakfast.
Convenient location, clean, heated, possibility to cook yourself or eat in a restaurant nearby.

South Africacan’t park outside the cabana, one has to leave you car in the general parking lot outside the premises.
simple nothing fancy cabanas with everything you need. convenient stopover, but can get a bit noisy at night. if you have a choice, select a unit far away from the restaurant if you have to be up early.

FranceNothing. All was fine.
The place is located a 20 mins bus ride from Santander.. We did not want to bother to drive and park in town, it was simplier to park for free at the top of the hill and ride to town in 25 mins... under€2 per pers. The location is fine, 10 mins walk to the beach. The bungalow was clean ,small but cheap. Two bedrooms , the beds were made and very confortable. Large fridge/freezer, microwave, just enough cutlery for 4. .. 2 Burner gaz stove. Towels were provided.. plenty of hot water.. All in all a pleasant stay, the staff were pleasant and available.

United KingdomA bit dark inside due to small size of windows, while most items seemed brand new, shower head could not be attached to wall and cleaning mop broke. A cutting board for bread and cheese would be a nice extra. Other than that it has all you need.
Location, comfortable, clean and simple bungalow. Private bathroom, microwave and fridge freezer a plus. Spanish cafetière worked perfect for us, but a kettle would be a great extra to boil water for tea. Towel change after two days was nice. Windows have shutters, which was great to keep them open at night. Great location in walking distance to stunning beaches. Peñón restaurant at Playa San Juan de Canal has a great fish and seafood selection at <€20 and decent quality wine at €2.30 per 0.125 glass. (Less than beer and Fanta !) Go for a walk along the coastal path, both directions from San Juan de Canal are equally nice with little hidden bays to take a dip.

United KingdomIt was very difficult to find. We weren’t given the bungalow we booked, apparently there were no bungalows available, despite the booking being made months in advance. We weren’t given out in the motel instead. The rooms were dated and the bathroom shower very cramped. We had been looking forward to the space in a bungalow. We were still charged the same as well, although what we were given was not what we had paid for
