We had a very nice stay in the middle of the mountains near the see. We really enjoyed village-life. There was a party going on with bulls in the streets and people watching and hiding. Very traditional and we felt a witness of typical Spanish folklore. The hosts mother and daughter were very warm and friendly. We loved the stay in typical Spanish village and family life

We would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom and maybe a little fridge with some bottled water.

Having travelled for a number of days, we were looking for somewhere off the beaten track and this was perfect. The drive to La Serratella is quite winding through the mountains - not for the faint hearted. Once you arrive the village has narrow streets, but we managed to find a space nearby and walked the last little bit. The hotel is not what you’d expect in a sleepy village in the hills, it’s a modern, spa retreat. The hosts Ian and Odette were very friendly, but don’t speak much English and our Spanish isn’t great, but we got by with Google translate! You can use the hot-tub on the top terrace for 45 minutes, which was great. The views from up there are wonderful. The room was clean and spacious, (we were allocated a disabled room), with a view over the hills. Dinner was tasty, be careful for the ‘cloudy water’ that Ian served, as it turned out to be water with anis and very strong!
