How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was clean and well kept but there was zero space to open a suitcase and the balcony door doesnt open because the bed was so close to it.
The staff, pool and hotel overall were great! Loved the balcony too

Decor wasn’t to our taste but it didn’t impact us much
Location was fantastic, a bit removed from the touristy areas but still close enough to walk. Also had lots of great food nearby. Staff were very friendly.

The pool was not clean and not heated. No windows with view from the apartment room.
The big rooms and quiet location, nice with two masterbathrooms in the apartment.

The standard southern "not really closed" windows - you can hear outside (cars and bikes, and I reckon terraces in summer) very well. While behind closed doors you can't really hear your neighbours, when people speak in the hallway, it's so loud&clear as if they spoke in your room. I'm a light sleeper and specifically looked for a quiet place; maybe I should've read more reviews. However, earplugs mostly fixed the noise problem for me.
The location is perfect - close to public transport, easy to catch taxi, close to biggest shopping spots as well as most famous Gaudi houses

I DIDN'T LIKE HAVING TO PAY FOR PARKING, I PAID FOR THE COFFEE IN THE ROOM AND THE MAILMAID PUT MY EMPTY COFFEE CUP IN THE SINK FOR ME TO WASH IT.

The bed wasn’t as comfortable as you would expect for a 4* hotel. The family room wasn’t that large once you opened out the sofa bed. The pool was cold, albeit it was October, my children cried when they jumped in and realised that their ideas of swimming were not to be.
Good breakfast, 24 hour manned reception. Good air conditioning, good location. The sofa bed was made up for when we arrived after midnight so our children could go straight to sleep (thank you!).

Nothing really comes to mind.
Hotel is in a great location, centered but yet not too close to the noisy crowded streets. Walking distance to Placa de Catalunya & Passeig de Gracia (big main streets for first time visitors). There are plenty of restaurants nearby, a coffee shop that opens at 7am right across and convenience stores that opens till late at night if you want to get a late night snack/water...etc.

Most staff were lovely but they were stingy in only providing one sachet of dishwashing liquid for a 4 night stay and telling us we couldn’t have any more. It seemed a strange thing to be stingy on. On our last night one of the receptionists also knocked on our door at 10:30pm after we’d al gone to sleep to say there had been a noise complaint - we, including our two young children had been asleep for an hour as we had an early flight the next day. He insisted on walking through the apartment to ‘check’ including walking through the room my kids were clearly fast asleep in. It wasn’t ok.
Location is great to walk to the key attractions and good restaurants. The room was nice, spacious with new furnishings.

Hard place to work in. The wifi had many issues and the lighting is not amazing. Good size suite, but the layout was kind of useless. TVs do not connect to Netflix and there are only a few Catalan channels so don't count on the TV. Gym is a joke. Pool is quite small and in the shade a lot. A little pricey for a Suite that in the end is just a big room.
Great Decoration and staff. Nice Suite Room. Location is amazing for walking around and plenty of places to eat.

Pretty expensive for room size. Lovely hotel but felt pretty enclosed and dark. Small corridors. Room just about big enough. Didn’t get that spacious feeling.

No major complaints. The breakfast could have been available a little earlier in the mornings (I missed the breakfast one day when I had an early start to my day), and the restaurant could have been open more hours in general. But overall, no major complaints.
Great breakfast. Lots of room. I appreciated the laundry service option. The hotel was close to things I visited like the Sagrada and Parc Guell. It was nice having all day access to a pool during those hot Barcelona days. Fantastic interior with the artifacts and also having artwork in the rooms.

Safe didn’t work and they reset it but still didn’t work - no instructions in room for it either but when I checked process I had been using correctly so just didn’t with it after that. Bathroom toiletries a bit lacking - 2 refillable (well used) bottles but both labeled shower gel, but clearly different products so unsure what was shampoo/conditioner/shower gel? Felt a bit on the cheap side for a hotel of that level. Bathtub/shower and toilet layout also very ‘snug’
Good location and helpful staff. Nice hotel with pool with decent hours. Happily held our luggage for late flight with no issues. Central location and easy to get everywhere.
