Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA lot of noise from neighbouring rooms, although out of the control of hotel this spoilt our trip slightly.

SpainThe staff looked weary and acted in a very disinterested way. Perhaps they were tired after a long sunmer - but they really did need to recall their training to be a bit more enthusiastic! Given the number of international guests, the restaurant could open a little earlier than 8.30.
Great location for either visiting the city or embarking/disembarking the ferry to the UK. Slightly old fashioned hotel but in a good way. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good onsite cafe and restaurant. Secure underground car parking.

United KingdomWe had a large family room which was great. Fab view over the harbour and a perfect central location with everything in walking distance. Breakfast was good although this is extra. The parking, going down in a lift, was quite an experience!

United KingdomBeautiful hotel right on the sea front near the ferry terminal. It was really well appointed and spotlessly clean. From the front door we were just a few steps away from the beautiful promenade, shops, restaurants etc. Breakfast was buffet style and there was a good selection with some gluten free food also available. The staff were really friendly and helpful and those we dealt with, although we didn't expect it, all spoke English, which helped us a lot as we are still learning Spanish. We would stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

SpainRoom price on par with Madrid and Barcelona! Bedside tables more "style" than usability Breakfast price off-putting, especially when Peter & Pan 50 yds away offers a decent breakfast for 5 euros! wear and tear on the wallcoverings very evident
Unbeatable location, so convenient for Train station, Bus station, Sightseeing bus and attractions such as Cathedral, Mercado del Este, Centro Botin Prices in the bar cafeteria were reasonable and measures were "Spanish" Service throughout from reception to waiters and cleaners was very good-friendly and efficient Massive room and bed Free water each day Quality toiletries

United KingdomRoom 625 is haunted. I don't believe in paranormal stuff but what happened there was very difficult to explain. On the first night I had very bad dreams. I chalked this up to a fairly stressful trip but at 2:43am exact, me and my wife were both woken up with a very loud rapid three knocks on our door. We went to investigate and found nothing. Here's where the story gets weird though. I was so angry because I thought it could have been a drunk person or maybe somebody making noise upstairs, however, when we tested the outside door to replicate the sound of the knock on the room's outside door it sounded nothing like what we heard which was loud and you could clearly hear the knuckle of the hand on the second knock between the three knocks. We realised that that night we had the inner room door closed (it's the door that separates the room's small hall with the bathroom and door entrance). We tested this inside door and it sounded exactly like the knock we heard. This means the knock came from inside our room, which is impossible. It freaked us out and later we found out that the history of the building had quite a bit of tragedy were six workers had died in it in the late 90's when an earthquake damaged the building completely. I still don't believe in ghosts and stuff like that but ...this was extremely difficult to explain as we both heard it and it came from inside our room. It's tone was definitely from a human hand and wasn't pipes or noise from above or below. It was inside our room. Very freaky. However, I will say the rest of our stay was pleasant with no bother. Toast was pretty amazing too!
Really great location, comfortable and clean rooms.

United Kingdomto be honest the bathroom was a little dated, and the shower could have been better, but that is really nit picking. Overall it is a great choice.
You simply can't get a better location! Fantastic sized room, with wonderful sea view. Super comfy beds. Secure parking. 5 minute drive from the Ferry terminal. We stayed for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant on the second night. We were very impressed with the service, which was excellent, and the quality and presentation of the food. Also very reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Not the easiest of places to navigate to the hotel garage car parking. Confused my car satnav, but partly becasue a nearby street was closed for constructiuon works!
Stayed at this hotel for two nights prior to catching a ferry to the UK, partly to take in Santander. Location is very handy for the ferry terminal as well as walking around the city. We stayed in a suite which was very spacious and comfortable.
