The hotel is based on the heights of the village and the view is absolutely gorgeous. I suggest you try to wake up early and admire the sunrise The pool is really pleasant and calm, far from the buzzing city center The room is comfortable and has a view over the bay

The location is perfect. It’s a super short walk to town, the view is amazing, the owner/operators are incredibly friendly and their food is excellent. They really are pros at hospitality and we would absolutely stay here again. Also, there is no “bad” room here. Our favorite place we’ve stayed at in Spain so far.

The room was a little small, however our private patio was essentially another lovely space to hang out in.

This small hotel was unique with its linear arrangement of small bungalows spanning out from the main building along a terrace high above the old village and the sea. The room, although, smallish was well appointed and very comfortable. Our private terrace had a magnificent view of the village, the church and the sea. It only took 10 minutes to walk the stairway path to the village. The reception person was welcoming and very professional. The porter, Juan, was extremely friendly and helpful. Our visit was very restful. We hung out on our patio and by the pool gazing off at the wonderful view. Our stay left us with great memories of Cadaques.

No wifi in the room, but this is in the listing so I knew it would be like this. Also no mini fridge, but it is close to town and easy to walk to a store for cold drinks etc.

Wonderful boutique hotel run by the most wonderful family, delightful breakfast, comfortable and clean, surrounded by olive trees, with stunning views over Cadaques, and surprisingly close walking distance to the town centre and bus station (quicker via steps, but can follow the road as well). Peaceful, with only 14 rooms and plenty of common areas to enjoy. I stayed in the sole single room, with a lovely balcony that I sat on every morning to watch the sun rise and light up the town and surrounding hills. Freshly cooked big breakfast on the terrace was such a treat (plenty of choice across savoury and sweet courses, plus fruit and various drink options). Rooms carefully cleaned daily. I did not drive, but there was parking available. Stand out feature really was the people, though. Carla, Joan, Nanda and Tito — they made me feel welcome right from the get-go, and, when I missed my bus to Barcelona (and consequently the flight to my next destination), they went above and beyond to help me. Their hospitality and friendliness made a stressful morning that much easier to deal with. Loved, loved staying here.

There was no WiFi in the rooms; you had to go to the reception/restaurant area. We also felt that 18 euro for breakfast was excessive. Additionally, it seems like all EU hotels suffer from showers that are impossible to prevent the floors from getting wet and comforters that are too hot for the season.

It was great only having a ten minute walk to the main town and the Mediterranean yet totally private and quiet. The outside attached private veranda was a real bonus. The picture shows the view from the doorway of our room.

I would have loved to not go around the corner to reception with my car. Drive way is tiny and steep, would have rather parked up top from the get go and walked down, plus the reveal of the town is amazing down those stairs

THE VIEW. WOW. Quiet, great pool, drinks and coffee all day if you want. Close to town but far enough away. NO KIDS. Did i mention the view?

A Lovely family run this wonderful hotel. They will look after you and serve you delicious breakfasts. The view is dream like. I was a little unwell when I arrived but 5 days here is the best medicine you could buy. Forget St Tropez. Arrels hotel and Cadaques is the best of the med.

The hotel was located about a 10 min walk from the city center - we enjoyed the walk and loved the tranquility of the hotel with sweeping views above the city and the sea, but some might find the walk challenging, including a steep stairway.

Incredible spot! Beautiful views, amazing staff (very accommodating to everything we needed), unforgettable breakfast, every thoughtful detail in our room was perfect - it’s hard to describe how amazing our stay truly was. This city is a special place and we can’t wait to come back someday!

We didn't know there are ants (it seems to be normal all over the city, not a problem of the hotel), and woke up with our snacks full of them. Sharing as a warning to other guests Also the cleaners moved all of our stuff when they cleaned the room... Like a lot. For example I had my stuff in one side of the bathroom sink, and my boyfriend in the other, and they mixed all of our things. I appreciate the intentions of leaving the room prettier because they achieved it, but it made me feel uncomfortable and also had to reorganize everything again after

The hotel has an amazing view of the city, both from the breakfast area as from the room and the pool! Also the room was huge and very comfortable During the check-in the host explained a lot to us about the city and the area, super helpful especially to find the good beaches and learn how to move around :)

It was a tremendous stay from the exquisite view of Cadaques in the foreground, the delicious and fresh breakfast, the relaxing pool, to the exceptional staff that truly make you feel at home. There was no internet reception at the room, only at reception. It would be great to have at least one English speaking Channel available on TV.

The views were wonderful. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. The short walk into town was no problem. It was great to be away from the hustle and bustle in the town, where it was very busy.

Beautiful location with amazing view. Breakfast was delicious and served by Carla, who is delightful. I was really sick with a bad cold and she cancelled my reservation for me and allowed a refund. She didn’t have to do that but was compassionate about my condition. We left early and went home. We will come again and stay longer. You couldn’t ask for more congenial hosts. Carla, her brother and her dad are all hard at work making breakfast, running the front desk and being generally congenial. How can you not love them!
