The property is in the process of being ‘spruced up’. There were a couple of small repair items like a torn screen. All very minor when compared to the experience.

This is a multi-generational working organic cidery. José and his wife are gracious hosts and good cooks. We had very good dinner and breakfast there prepared by the family at very reasonable prices. We were given a tour of the cidery and a bottle of the delicious cider. It is not fancy, but genuine, rustic, welcoming and comfortable beds.

Lovely tranquil setting in the countryside outside Donostia and a short drive above Usurbil. We were made feel really welcome and comfortable. No dinner service - purely because the family were busy bottling the year's cider - on this occasion but a very generous breakfast provided at €6 per person.

We were expecting breakfast but was told on the day we were checking in that they couldn’t make it for us - shops are 2.7km away and we were not expecting to purchase groceries.

A bit of a scary drive getting there, with narrow roads and steep inclines, but one quickly gets used to it. And the facilities are not exactly modern. But these did not detract from our enjoyment of our stay there.

An idyllic, peaceful, truly rural location with cool, clean mountain air and fantastic views. And the host family was exceedingly warm and hospitable. Nice breakfast too, with incredibly delicious farm-fresh fruit juices!

The bedsheets were of a fluffy material (polar?); I would have preferred classic bedsheets (cotton/linen). We were also unlucky, as there were some other guests that were very noisy and I could hear their laughing etc. through the thin walls. All in all, some modernisation (or sound insulation) wouldn't harm.

Very nice location on the hills above San Sebastian. The host was very friendly and welcoming. A big garden area, in which we found a place to have a picnic with a view to San Sebastian (even seeing the bay a bit).

The long list includes: towel under the bathroom radiator to cover up something, old table - even a table cloth would’ve helped, small kitchenette but without sink, unprofessional repairs in the shower, dirty bathroom accessories, burn hole in blanket, rip in comforter, window curtains falling off when you open the glass door, little insulation so you can hear other guests easily!!!
