the balcony was a great size but there was no shade whatsoever so the balcony was basically an unusable space after about 8am in the morning until it got dark at night. same with the rooftop pool, it was a nice pool and great views but no shade whatsoever (lots of sun beds but zero umbrellas!) so unfortunatly during our 6 days stay i spent maybe 2 hours in total on the roof, went for a swim 3 times but then straight back down into the room. The beds were very hard and the pillows were lumpy. kitchen lacked even the basics, no kettle (however, we asked for a kettle and were given on by the reception staff) . no salt or pepper / no coffee etc , literally completely bare . overall the room was a bit tired and could certainly do with a re-vamp and maybe some extra care and thought put into the paying guests. I have friends that live and work in Barbate, im informed that some manual roll out awnings for the balcony wouldn't be that difficult or expensive to instal

There was a lovely rooftop pool with sunloungers but no shade whatsoever, so we were unable to sit there. We were 2 couples, sharing a 2 bed apartment but were only allowed to park one car in the underground parking lot, despite it being virtually empty.

The location was excellent, overlooking the beautiful Barbate beach and close to bars/restaurants/supermarket. Apartment was basic but clean and bed was very comfortable.

The place is ageing and could use some freshening up. Nevertheless, I'm still planning to visit again next year!

for this place, it's all about the location. It's a very simple apartment hotel. I love the seaview. I t is the reason that I return here every year (mostly). It's got a stocked kitchen that allows me to cook the seafood that is possible to buy at the local markets.

1. Check-in is between 17 and 21h. In the booking, I requested a check-in between 16 and 17h. They replied that they could not guarantee complying that. On my day of ARRIVAL they wrote to ask what time I would be arriving, seeing as the reception desk would close at 18h! What would have happened if I had booked a later bus to accommodate their check-in times between 17 and 21h? Upon arrival at 1710h I had to telephone them because the reception desk was closed! 2. Wifi was practically non-existent as ONLY available at the front DOOR of the appartment! Their maintenace man said this was the case in all of the 55 apartments of the building. He said this was the fault of Telefonica, their provider. I find that hard to believe. Wifi did NOT improve during the entire week I was there.

Due to the pre-season, unfortunately the upper deck was not open to use (the pool only opens from June-Sept). It would have been great to use the lounge chairs.

Easy to collect keys, as there is a reception - and you can short term park the car to load. Noria has been there for 10 years and is extremely friendly and helpful!

A large, clean and comfortable modern apartment in a block on the seafront.

There was no parking available for us, and we struggled to park. In the end, we paid for parking in town. The images are a fair representation flat, so it was clean but extremely basic in regards to comfort. It was small but had a decent sized terrace facing the sea. There was mould in the bathroom shower, the shower head was loose, the toilet seat needed replacing, the furniture was of the most basic kind, and the sofa was dirty , especially the arms. The door paint was chipped and needed repainting. The kitchen was tiny and had no oven, but it had equipment to make basic meals. The fridge was large and worked well so we could store drinks and make ice.

The staff were friendly, and the cleaning team kept the building and flats clean. There was a mid week change of towels. The location was very good , opposite the beach and close to a supermarket, a pharmacy, a lovely cafe ice cream parlours and a good range of restaurants. The rooftop pool was an added bonus.

The building without any charm. The apartment likewise. We booked it so we could go up at the terrace to see the views and the pool but they were closed. That should have been mentioned when we booked. Size was good but as mentioned before very sterile and without soul.
