How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our host met us to hand over the keys and she gave a little tour of the property. She was very warm and welcoming to us! The neighbourhood was very nice, with lots of nice places to eat, bakeries and supermarkets and a short walk from the old town.

There’s a lot of noise from the street but the hosts provide ear plugs.
This apartment is in a great location. The room was spacious and clean, and the kitchen well equipped. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. We had a small issue with one of the other guests but the hosts resolved it quickly. Highly recommended stay.

With closed windows still you can hear the street. But they had ear plugs in the room, it was nice from their side. I love this place and if ever visit Bilbao again shure I rent this place again.
I feel myself like at home.

We had a very comfortable stay. The room and the whole apartment were clean, convenient, and well-equipped! The location is more than you could ask for—everything is within walking distance, with great restaurants nearby. The host was super helpful and quick to communicate. She also gave us great tips on where to try local Basque cuisine—we loved it! Highly recommended!

The shutters did not shut in one of the bedrooms so the bedroom was affected by all the outside lights - very bright. The rooms upstairs were very noisy.

Blue room, where I was staying, has windows that are literally overseeing (from the first floor) the intersection of the main street with a lot of traffic and lights, so there was obviously a noise. Not a big deal for one night stay during colder season, but for longer stay I would take this into consideration.
Comfortable spacious room for a good price. Really nice host. List of recommended places to visit / cafés /bars... available at the room. Bus stop to quickly get to the airport is just a block away.

The residents upstairs were very noisy and it could get quite loud from the street at night but you could keep the windows shut all the time to block out the street noise. Still highly recommended for a great place to stay.
It was a fabulous stop on the Camino Del Norte. Very central to everything including the Guggenheim museum and a 20 min walk to Old Town. Lots of shops, supermarkets, banks, cafes, etc and close to public transport. Kitchen and lounge available for use with everything you will need including a washing machine.

Many thanks for your help with the keys during exceptionally late check-in! The room was very spacious and kitchen was very well equipped. I would be happy to stay here again if I ever visit Bilbao again.
