How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It can be noisy in the evening but I had earplugs. It was a little on the pricey side for me but I think on average was about right for three night stay on a busy weekend in Gijon? My friends paid more but stayed in hotels.
You cannot fault the location, cleanliness and ease of checking in and out of this apartment! The small buns and good coffee (not instant) was a very nice and welcomed touch. Basic cooking equipment and fridge is helpful. Fan provided which helped with sleeping. I would book again!

Clean room with a kitchenette and bathroom. Located near the marina and with many restaurants nearby. Parking is available in paid spaces nearby or in the underground paid parking lot 150 meters from the apartment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I return to Gijón, I will probably stay at the same place.

Very clean and comfortable little studio in perfect location and with very friendly staff. Complimentary coffee, milk and cupcakes were nice touch 🙂

The property was well located, close to restaurants and the beach. The coffee left in the room for our use was excellent. The host went above what was expected, I left my purse in a restaurant the night before we left and did not realise until the next day, the host collected the purse and held onto it until we passed through Gijon on our way to the airport.

Friendly, hospitable staff gave us excellent tips. Kitchenette had the essentials. Very clean, comfortable bed and room. One block from pier and a block on the opposite direction to bars, restaurants, and shopping.

The check-in was very smooth. The person doing it was very nice and showed / told us everything we needed to know about Gijon. The apartment was very nice and the location was perfect. We had a bit of a view of the port. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Coffee, muffins (not vegan 🥲) & water was provided. Thank you, we would definitely stay here again!

The ad says parking is available. This is a little misleading. It means there is public parking nearby (18 Euros/day) or you can park on the street (for much less).
Central location. Luis speaks no essentially no English, but communicates very effectively using the WhatsApp translator. He is very enthusiastic, helpful, and welcoming.

It was all perfect. Thank you to the owners for caring and for creating such a nice space.
It is a superb apartment. I would give it more than 10 if it was possible. The welcome from the hosts was amazing. They said that if I needed anything just ask. But everything and more was already supplied. About 2 minutes after I arrived, the kind owner bought me a kettle and tea bags. I hadn't asked for them, but he somehow knew that they would be very gratefully received. This was in addition to the milk, coffee, hot chocolate and little cakes that were already in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The shower spacious and hot. Plenty of fluffy towels. And plenty of soap. Excellent WiFi. A dining area with fridge and microwave. Comfortable armchairs. An exceptionally well designed and well maintained apartment. It was very comfortable and quiet. The decor and furnishings are all beautifully considered and in perfect condition. And a great location in the heart of the city.

Nothing ... everything was great.
Great location right beside loads of good restaurants and bars and 2 minutes from the marina. The host Luis was very welcoming and delighted to provide advice on what to do and where to eat. Could not have been happier with my stay and will definitely book again.

A beautiful little apartment, right in the middle of the main town area and an easy 10 minute walk from the bus station. The staff were really friendly and helpful, access is easy and very secure. The apartment is nicely decorated and comfortable. It's set up for basic cooking, with a fridge, microwave, hotplate and utensils. Coffee, milk and cakes are generously provided. Highly recommend. Thanks so much.

The bed was way too hard
The room had a small equipped kitchen and table and chairs so we could make some meals, and a small lounge. A nice sized space.

It was quite expensive. For the people who like it quite at night,it might be a bit noisy as it is in a busy bar and restaurants (super nice) area.
Nice accommodation with the facilities needed for a studio and a super good location: you may do everything at walking distance. The staff is very friendly,helpful and available. I recommend it!

Spacious, clean studio apartment room in great area of Gijon. Amazing bars and restaurants literally 1 Min walk away. About a 10 Min walk from bus station (if you are coming from Madrid). Friendly staff who gave me great recommendations for a cafe and sightseeing. You can open the windows which was nice and room had a good fan. Other good aspects - Good shower, filter coffee machine, fridge. Highly recommended
