The room, although small is very functional and comfortable. It offers everything you need but the staff is exceptional. After our first night, the staff saw that we didn't show up for breakfast and asked for the reason. We answered that we booked without breakfast which the staff answered that everyone is entitled to breakfast. The next morning we had to leave early, when the staff realized that, they sent us provisions to prepare breakfast for the next day, and i have never encountered such care and service.

Polite and helpful owners / employees. Big breakfast served at your table. Small but practical rooms. Make sure to take a look at pictures, and be prepared for the room size. Great view (I was lucky to get the top floor room looking towards the cathedral).

A great location close to cathedral and opposite park Almeda. This is a gorgeous character filled accommodation. It's very clean and comfortable. The view from both rooms was special, with one being of the park and the other looking over the cathedral. The rooms are small but that did not detract at all. The place is truly adorable. The owner was so lovely , kind and helpful as well .

Nothing we didn't like.

The location is perfect, very close to the old town. And we had a view to the Cathedral from our room which was a bonus. The owner is wonderful and extremely helpful. The included breakfast is superb.

It was a tight fit in the shower but I'm a large person so probably perfectly fine for most people.

Beautiful building well located to the heart of the city, cosy rooms, comfortable bed, but the best part the staff are just delightful. The only hotel we stayed at in Europe who offered to carry our bags, the breakfast they cooked was delicious, and they helped us get a taxi to the airport when we left. 10/10

I’m 6’ tall and had to sit side-saddle on the toilet because there wasn’t much leg room! It was worth it for the beautiful room which was full of character.

My room was just like the picture with the view of the cathedral- a magical place to end my Camino. I really enjoyed my breakfast and felt at home here.

Honestly, nothing

I liked everything about my stay. From the moment I walked through the door, the host was kind and helpful. After staying in some not so good places on my travels, Hostal Alfonso is amongst the few that exceeded my expectations and made me smile. I highly recommend this place for your end stay after a long journey on a Camino. The included breakfast was excellent. The service was very good. I cannot say enough good things about my stay here...of course the view from my room must have been one of the best in Santigo. I do not hesitate to recommend Hostal Alfonso, a friendly welcoming stay. If I return to Santiago I would definitely book again. Very much worth the money. Good location for the city also without being on a noisy street. Thank you to the owner, I already miss my stay!

Need to have a kettle and glassed in the room. A dustbin in the room would be good too.

Great location, right next to Alameda park and within sight of the cathedral. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very helpful. We were lucky enough to be there in sunny weather but that meant the room got quite warm.
