How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Code for front door didn’t work had to ring and wait to be let in. Not ideal Kate st night. Would be nice if front desk were manned early in morning to call taxis for customers. Taxi rank is a bit of a walk away v
Comfortable bed. Good WiFi. Plenty of hot water with good pressure Beautiful location near the Plaza de Maria Pita and the Puerto and Marina. Reasonable price. Old building with original balconies, nicely remodeled with modern amenities.

There is nothing I can think of.
The women at the front desk was professional, cordial and extremely helpful. The location is phenomenal!! Rooms were clean comfortable and perfect for our needs beginning the Camino!!

Be aware….If you don’t have breakfast included, and all you want is a quick cup of coffee, you will be forced to pay for an entire breakfast (€7) because that’s the ridiculous “policy”.

‘Courtyard view’ is just a view into other rooms, had to keep the blind drawn for privacy so no natural light came into the room when the others were occupied but that was the same for everyone. .
Excellent location close to all the main activities, restaurants and marina. Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We were doing Camino Ingles and hotel is located exactly on the route. Location is amazing, very central. Many restaurants near by. Few minutes walking till beautiful promenade. It was very peaceful and relaxing.

No facilities like kettle/coffee machine etc.
Excellent location and cozy room with big bed. The room has a little balcony. The harbor, restaurants and night life just around the corner. Staff were nice and friendly.

However, there were some drawbacks. Noise coming from the upper floor was quite disruptive and went on until late at night (around midnight). Additionally, one morning there was an energy supply issue, leaving the breakfast room without lights or anything hot, including coffee(!) - a small hiccup that hopefully was an one-time occurrence. Lastly, we noticed a visible crack on the wall in our room, which initially concerned us, but we trusted that proper inspections and regulations are in place. Despite these issues, the fantastic location and overall amenities made our stay enjoyable. With some improvements in soundproofing and better handling of unexpected situations, this place could be even better!
Our stay at Alda Alborán Rooms was overall enjoyable. The location is truly exceptional - right in the heart of the city, with everything within walking distance. There are countless dining options nearby, making it a food lover's paradise; and in Galicia the food is amazing. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine, and accessing the apartment was straightforward with helpful reception staff available until 9 pm. The breakfast was pleasant, and the option to arrange nearby parking (a 5-minute walk, extra cost) was very convenient, especially since driving in the city center isn’t allowed (please be careful with GPS in Coruña).

Uncomfortable bed (mattress too soft). Small bathroom. Location is hit and miss: conveniently central, but noisy at night. Breakfast is rather basic.

The walls in the room needed some paint and minor repairs but most importantly, some sound proofing. We could clearly hear the neighbors television and conversation.
The location was perfect, at walking distance from main landmarks in the city. The room was clean and the staff were nice and attentive.

The lobby was nice, but there were lots of air fresheners in there! WAY TO MANY. It smelt so strongly I often had to run through the lobby as it made me feel faint. There is just no need for that much air freshener.
The room was great - very clean, spacious, had a desk and I had a balcony. The bathroom was very clean and bright with a great mirror. Shower was spacious and clean, good water pressure to wash my hair. The bed was comfy and clean. The temperature of the room was great.
