Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Isle of ManWe could hear the room above us in the night, whether it was footsteps or moving stuff around it was very loud. Now I’ve looked, previous reviews actually highlighted this. The breakfast time was not very flexible we were given an 8.15 slot, would have been good to pick a time the day before for the next day rather than a set time, as we had a few late nights and 8.15 was a struggle. The labeling of foods at breakfast was not very good. Almost as though the labels from dinner had been left on and not updated for breakfast. My son has anaphylaxis food allergies and the staff weren’t that helpful when I asked about the cereals. No labels to say what cereals they are and difficult to see what allergens were in food items. E.g pan au chocolates labeled as chips as sign from night before left up. Even the mini muffins didn’t have a label. My son is allergic to hazelnut (and multiple other things). Luckily my little boy found something he could eat and just stuck with it for breakfast every day.
We had a downstairs room and loved having the outside space to sit outside. Room was perfect size for our family of 3 (2 adults and a 7 year old) would imagine would be a tight squeeze with 2 children. Facilities in the room were great.

UkraineOverall everything was fine but the room wasn’t comfortable for a family. We had the WC, shower, and beds all in the same room. There was no place to hang wet towels or bathing suits — only windows, with nowhere to dry them. It was also uncomfortable to sleep with the TV hanging right above our heads.
The food in the restaurant was really good, and the aqua attractions for kids were interesting.

United KingdomFood service very busy and rushed. Toilet door in hotel room without a lock and open top. Pricing. Lack of car parking. People unable to cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing near food.
Location of the site is good. A short walk to the main areas of Salou, but not too central. Entertainment and atmosphere of the site was positive. Beautiful scenary at night and vibrant atmosphere in the day. Clean hotel room.

United KingdomNothing wrong with the the hotel, very good, the minor things - During high season (possibly 700 guests) the facilities may not be ideal for the number of rooms/guests, the pool area is big but all the Sunbeds are gone quickly - you can hire pool days bed for €35 (seems expensive when the sunbeds are free). Allocated a time to eating if you have a meal package (though not sure how policed this was) 1 person serving a the pool bar, can be queing for a while, there was always a queue. The Hotel seems to be aimed at families with younger children under 12s, so the pool isnt very deep (1.1m) - this could be a positive if you have young kids. Toilet & Shower within the rooms are not a seperate en-suite, its part of the bedroom so it depends how much privacy you like.
Rooms were spacious, clean and very modern, with great aircon and the food was good - soft drinks included during meal sittings. The bar is cashless and you can put money onto your wrist band, your room key is also on your wristband (but if your a family with more than 1 room your dont have a key card you can give to someone to enter the other room). Pool opened at 9:30 so nobody can claim a sunbed before then. Short walk to the main bars and restaurants Ideals for younger families (under 13s)

EstoniaThe room was a bit small for four people: there was not much space to put things. Therefore, there was no place if you wanted to be private. The shower door was not a problem: it was not transparent.
A remarkably large pool, swimming area. The staff takes the cleanliness of the pool seriously, it is cleaned every evening. The hotel complex is beautiful, comfortable, cozy and well-designed. The food was varied. The staff is kind, helpful, we also got answers to all our questions. The beaches are within walking distance, it was not tiring, the main thing for us was a cozy and comfortable hotel with a large swimming area and pool - Alannia Salou met our expectations.

For a family this hotel is everything you need as in facilities. Kids were kept very busy by the pool. The rooms are small limited space for luggage and clothing if your staying more then a couple of days. To be fair you dont spend alot of time in doors!

IrelandNo balconies on second floor, hard to dry clothes. Walls are paper thin too. Not much privacy in rooms due to the toilet and shower situation, unfortunately.
Loved the entertainment for the kids. Always something on to keep them occupied. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Hotel was spotless, even the paths from pool to hotel room were spotless. Location was great. Not far from beach and the strip/ funfair was only 8 to 10 minute walk away.

United KingdomThey kept deflating the bouncy pillow in the pool to stop children playing on it when it was busy, this was disappointing. Storage in the room is non existent, a couple of shelves and a 30cm hanging rail. When you have 4 people in there, we couldn’t unpack our cases as nowhere to put it all.
It was lovely to look at, very bright and clean and welcoming. The grounds are lush and easy to navigate, not too big so no issue popping back to room from the pool etc or allowing older children to have free rein. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Buffet never felt overly busy, lots of seating and no queues inside, occasionally a queue to enter at opening. Food was not very varied. The pool bar was good. Air con was ice cold which is great.

IrelandI had to pay for Kettle which is not expected from a Hotel of such stature. Also the room doesn't have Iron / Iron board. Kettle and Iron not available in the room and the fact that you need to pay and also put up a deposit is a huge disappointment. Pool hours should have been extended to at least 7:00 PM specially since the days are longer now.
Very Less options for Vegetarian at the Buffet. But the Chef and staff accommodated our request and prepared veg sandwiches for us which was good.

IrelandFood - disaster. It might come down to being just entering into the season but it was awful. Room was spacious but very thin walls, no sound proof. Not a single glass or cup in the room to have water or keep a toothbrush. Room cleaned daily but more just making the beds. Even capsules for coffee machine weren't refilled.
It was very clean, all around very well kept. Room was spacious. Staff was friendly and did their best to provide good service. Mini club - a delight. Amazing activities, nice little playground for age up to 5-6y.
