Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing. Everything was exceptional.
The situation in a quiet village, easily accessed from the motorway. The hotel is beautiful with lovely outdoor gardens and swimming pool. The rooms are spacious clean and well furnished. The staff are extremely friendly and acknowledged our 2nd visit to the hotel. The food is the best hotel food we have had in Spain. The breakfast choices are exceptional.

DenmarkWe always travel with our own duvets. I don’t like the sheets and blankets that are used in most parts of southern Europe - and I think I would have been cold in the night without my duvet.
Lovely place in the countryside. Clean and charming. Our room was warm at arrival, which is important because we travelled in December. However, the best thing about det place is the restaurant. We (2 people) had a fantastic meal (4 courses, bread and sparkling water) with a bottle of good redwine (Priorat) for 89 Euros. For that reason alone we will come back. The breakfast table was just as amazing. Be sure to wait for the waiter to come and ask if you want eggs and bacon 😉…

United KingdomWe didn’t have our rooms cleaned or towels changed during our stay but as it was a short visit, and they seemed fairly short staffed this wasn’t a problem for us. The food was delicious but the fact it was a set number of courses on the menu was a little restrictive
Great location for the wedding we were attending locally. Lovely quiet surroundings and pool, beds were comfy, bathrooms were good and breakfast was very extensive and dinner food was delicious. Staff were friendly. Would likely need a car if visiting as quite remote.

AndorraWe got a room upgrade: from a room with balcony to a room with terrace! Everything was spotless clean. Big comfy bed and enormous bathroom with shower and bathtub. Breakfast is amazing (one of the most complete we've ever seen) and we loved the dinner as well. Staff super helpful and attentive. We will be back for sure.

SpainI think the only negative is the gym. It says it has a fitness center, but it is small and the equipment is very old. And it's down in the basement and smells very musty. There are no free weights. If this is a must for you, you will be a bit disappointed.
This is a beautiful hotel. Quiet and comfortable and a great location in the countryside, but close to the beaches. The staff is amazing and so friendly and nice. The buffet breakfast is fantastic. We did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel, but it looked amazing and gets very good reviews. The pool is so nice and clean and many chairs for people to sit in the sun or shade. It's pet friendly and that's a plus for me.

RussiaNothing to say. All was exceptional. Late visitors should keep in mind hotel has no personnel / service in the night time. Thus specific requests should be addressed in advance.
Fantastically cosy and clean hotel with utmost level of comfort and high quality of rooms and utilities. In the best way corresponds to value for money expectation. Guests should be aware of the reception desk is closed after 10 p.m. Advised to get in touch in advance to agree upon the keys transfer. Despite we did not do that and arrived very late in the night we could easily get in touch with personnel via Whatsapp. Keys were waiting for us so we had no issue to get in to the rooms. Hotel is a perfect location to visit Figueres town which is one of the main attractions around with its world-famous Salvador Dali museum. Figueres may be reached by car within 12-13 minutes. Rooms are spacious enough and offer high quality beds really of comfort for sleeping. Outdoor private veranda was a nice place to have a glass of wine. Despite the service is limited in the night time the mini bar was stuffed with everything and nice welcoming sweet things could be found in the room. Thus it created a feeling of a care. Pretty large swimming pool was found outdoor surrounded by green lawn with sun beds (inside hotel's area). However, this we could not use due to the late arrival time and early departure.

Spainit’s the 3rd time we stay at Aires de l’Emporda and we absolutely love staying there. The hotel has great services, the rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and accommodating making us feel like at home. If you have car, the location is perfect. Close to beaches and city centre but away from the noise if you want a quiet stay which was our case. I definitely recommend them and we’re already planning our next stay.

SwitzerlandThe rules of the game: Anyone who adorns themselves with 4 stars and charges the corresponding price will also be rated according to 4-star criteria. - - Reception, which has the charm of a railway station guesthouse, was not manned on arrival, we had to look around the crowded dining room for the person in charge. Wasn't easy to find. - We called from the car and reserved a table for our arrival. What a mess, time was noted completely wrong. There was neither an apology nor anything to eat. - Room on the second floor, no lift.We are a eetired couple, with a suitcase. Key handed over, no one asked if we needed any help. - The hotel has a very attractive, green pool area. However, our room overlooked a small side street with a view of the neighbour's depressing patio. You can see into the room from the street. - The pillows are of very modest quality and the bed linen smelled pungently of detergent and/or perfumed fabric softener - 11pm, back from a (very nice!) concert. We would have liked to sit outside somewhere, maybe have a nightcap. No way, everything dark and locked. - To compensate, rooms were still being prepared until almost midnight. Quite audible. - Free wake-up service, because in the morning the suppliers drive up the small street and deliver to the hotel very noisily with the engine and radio running. - The punch line: A chic bathroom, large TV and free shampoo do not make you a 4-star hotel. Take away one star and at least 30% of the price, and the AIre de l'Emporda would be a small hotel worth recommending, and not a single point from this list of shortcomings would even need to be mentioned.
Large room, spacious comfortable bright bathroom. Money was obviously put into it. Good breakfast. Could be a quite good 3 star hotel

HungaryThe hotel staff barely spoke English, so it was quite difficult for us to communicate. Unfortunately, there is no free menu choice for dinner, they tell you in advance how much food you have to choose for a given price. There was a lot and I missed the side dish for the duck breast. They don't serve milk (neither cow's milk nor plant milk) or yogurt for breakfast. I just don't understand why the muesli is prepared then. There was a bunch of disgusting brown bananas on the counter for days. The butter wasn't put in the fridge, it was outside all day and it was prepared the next day too. The tablecloth wasn't changed when the food was laid out, it was very, very dirty, especially under the orange juicer. There were no chairs on the terrace. You had to ask for one separately, which they only put on the terrace on the second day afternoon, after another request. The room doors have an automatic retractor unnecessarily, because this results in the door slamming every time the door is opened, causing the building to shake. Guests absolutely do not pay attention to making sure the door does not slam. This is especially annoying early in the morning and late at night. If there were no automatic retractor, these unnecessary noises would disappear. We could not decide who was the receptionist and who was the waiter. If we wanted to do something, we had to search the entire building for the staff to see where someone was. There were a lot of mosquitoes in both the restaurant and the breakfast room, at least we were bitten a lot. Overall, the hotel does not deserve four stars in terms of its location or service.
The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The hotel garden is beautiful, the pool is good. The area is a family-owned area. Quiet and peaceful.

FranceThe morning was quite a trouble for us because you could here every toilet flushing and every shower taken in all the neighboring rooms which was quite sad because we like to sleep in on vacations. The fan in the bathroom was blowing dust inside which was uncomfortable. The breakfast didn't quite match with the quality of the dinner. We asked the breakfast service for eggs, she didn't speak English but we managed to make her understand that we would like scrambled eggs but she just never came back. When she reentered the breakfast room 20 (!) minutes later we were finished with our breakfast and didn't want eggs anymore but she didn't bother to ask anyways if we were still waiting for the eggs. The coffee they served was instant coffee. The day we left the wind must have been changed direction because there was a unbearable smell of a pig farm outside and only keeping windows closed helped and it was not possible to sit outside or use the pool.
The restaurant on site is quite good. They serve 3 course menus with vegetarian options and they have a good selection of wine. The receptionist was very friendly and after we asked he served us a drink at the pool to enjoy the beautiful garden.
